Reading
is one of my favourite past-times. I like to read sci-fi and fantasy
novels but sometimes I do get a few doses of non-fiction books as
well. And I simply love books. I love the look and the smell of
books. I think that books are such beautiful things. Boy, I should
have been a librarian. Anyway, here I have listed some Star Trek
The Next Generation novels that I love.
The
Devil's Heart
This
is the first Star Trek novel I have ever read and I was hooked from
the very first page. It is a fantastic novel that takes the reader
on a journey through the histories of the many races in the Star
Trek universe. As you read the pages of this novel you will feel
like you are travelling through time and seeing how civilisations
rise and how they crumbled. The story revolves around a legendary
stone known as the Devil's Heart. This stone is not simply a lifeless
thing. It actually has a purpose. One moment the it grants the bearer
protection, power, wealth. Then suddenly it betrayes the bearer
and is taken by someone else. So you see, the stone moves form one
bearer to another and form one planet to the next.
Dark
Mirror
What
if there are two sides to the universe and the other side is the
mirror image of this universe, the only difference is that this
mirror image is simply pure evil? And what will happen if the two
universe collide? In this novel you read about a dark and evil Star
Trek universe where the characters look like the ones we know and
love except they are the BADDIES.
Nightshade
The
Worf and Deanna relationship is not that popular among Star Trek
Fans because many prefer the Riker and Deanna couple. But I am those
few who think that Worf and Deanna make a cute couple. This is one
of the few novels that touches on the relationship between these
two. And I simply love this novel. Read it twice and might even
read it again soon.
The
Last Stand
This
is another excellent Star Trek novel. The Enterprise was charting
a star sytem when they came across a planet that was about to be
attacked by an alien race. It is up to the Enterprise crew to resolve
an age old conflict. An exciting book with an ending that is just
so unexpected. Simply brilliant.
  Three
fantastic novels about the delightfully irritating Q. Q's past mistake
has come back to destroy him. In order to save himself, he needs
Picard's help. So he takes Picard on a facinating journey to Q's
past.
