PLAN B
New Truck Comes Home.
This 1989 Ford LTL prime mover
was bought in May 1994 because of the total impossibility of getting
work in this area. It had already travelled 1.05 million kilometres
and weighed in at 8.9 tonnes. It had a 350 horsepower Caterpillar
diesel motor.

out Truck.
The number plate of the prime
mover was BAH and for the trailer it was QAQ so it was a real
zoo. But the truck had to have a name and "PLAN B" was
the obvious choice.
The Obvious Name for the Truck.
New Tarpaulin for PLAN B.
It went to work straight away
carting mainly steel between Newcastle and Brisbane.

The PUP and PLAN B
When it was sold in 1998, it
had 1.9 million kilometres on the clock so it did a lot of running
up and down the highway. PLAN B is still working but not under
that name and with different sign writing. I was totally amazed
that I saw the truck on the highway one day and actually recognised
it.
