Renovating
A year ago I bought the property
next door - about 4 hectares for the cows and a huge shed. The
land also had a tiny house which was 7 metres square (plus a verandah).
This is the view of the shed from the house.

Since
June we have been renovating the house on weekends. And now that
it is nearly Christmas, we have almost finished. Just carpet for
the floor and blinds for the windows and we are done.

Here is Neil
putting the last of the paint on the bathroom wall.

Now, he may be the builder but
Kerry, the tenant and I have been the slaves. First we had to
build a big room across the back of the house - bricklaying, building
the frame plus all of the walls and the ceiling and then of course
the painting. At least Kerry and I had fun choosing the colour
scheme. We used the same border tile in the kitchen and bathroom
- a white dimpled tile with sea critters.

And finally the kitchen was finished......

And then the bathroom/laundry.
Finally, a New Bathroom &
Laundry.
The old bathroom is now an alcove
between the lounge room and the bedrooms.

The original house plan looked
like this:
but it now looks like this:
The pink bits are sliding doors
and the blue bits are windows.
