Swasthya is recruiting volunteers in the fields
of medicine, education,
allied and public health to perform a one to six month internship in rural,
Southern India with the Community Health Partnership of the
Sharada Dhanvantari Charitable Hospital |

|
| Requirements |
- Professional or student of medicine, education, anthropology, allied or public health
- Formal or informal teaching, counseling, epidemiology, or cytology experience
- Previous professional or volunteer work experience with disadvantaged populations
- International travel experience, preferably to developing countries
- Provide self-funding and travel insurance
- Adaptable and sensitive to cultural norms of a conservative, rural village
- Independent and resourceful character capable of communicating despite language barriers
- Minimum two month commitment
- Submission of application four months before desired volunteer date, if possible
