Anxiety
Jesus said, "Do not be afraid, little flock."

Luke 12:32

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.  He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet water, he restores my soul.  He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.  Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.  You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.  Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Psalm 23

When anxiety was great within me, your consolation O Lord, brought joy to my soul.

Psalm 94:19

"I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Jeremiah 29:11

Cast all your anxiety on Jesus because he cares for you.

1 Peter 5:7

The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:5-7

A righteous man will be remembered forever.  He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.  His heart is secure, he will have no fear.

Psalm 112:6-8

An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.

Proverbs 12:25

Jesus said, "Do not let your hearts be troubled.  Trust in God; trust also in me."

John 14:1

Jesus taught them saying, "Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.  Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than the clothes?  Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you not much more valuable than they?  The pagans run after these things and your heavenly Father knows the you need them.  Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Matthew 6:25-34

[God told the Israelites,] "During the forty years that I led you through the desert, your clothes did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet.  You ate no bread and drank no wine or other fermented drink.  I did this so that you might know that I am the Lord your God."
