He was possibly Howie’s closest friend. No matter what Nick was always there to listen to him. Especially when Howie was struggling with his sexuality. Nick had gone out one night by himself while Leighanne and Brian were out together. Howie had invited him out to Orlando to go clubbing with him, and enjoy the nightlife that Howie’s favorite town offered. Howie told him to meet him at Tabu later that night, but Nick had arrived in town early and decided to visit his friend Paul who had been begging Nick to join him at one of his favorite clubs, Pegasus. Nick had been somewhat hesitant about going to a gay club, not that he wasn’t gay, but he just had come to accept it himself and didn’t know if he was ready for the entire world to know. Paul said that it was just a place where he could be himself, all sexual preferences were accepted, and it was a private party for one of Paul’s friends that night, so there was no worry of his celebrity being an obstacle for him to have a good time. As Nick followed Paul down the steps leading to the secluded club, he felt the pulse of the music pounding through his body. A remix of Madonna’s Beautiful Stranger pumped through the speakers of the dark club, sparkling, colored lights swirling around the room, only illuminating random faces as they passed in the darkness. Although it was a private party, Nick noticed that the club was still full. Nick liked it that way though; it would be easier for him to blend into the darkness of the club where he would be unnoticed. Paul immediately started mingling with the many actors and actresses that were in attendance for the after-party of a new play that Paul’s friend had starred in. Nick slowly made his way across the room to the bar where a young, tanned, muscular man dressed in tight jeans and a white tank top greeted him. "Hello, what can I get for…you…" the boy said, licking his lips and leaning down on the bar closer to Nick. "Sex on the bar…I mean the beach." Nick said with a devilish smile. His stomach flipped as he remembered how much he loved flirting. Meaningless flirting especially, without limits. The boy smiled back as he poured Nick the mixed drink. Nick gratefully accepted it, running his tongue seductively across the top of the cup, his tongue gently diving into the tasty drink. He placed the drink back down on the bar and permitted his tongue to run across his lips as he playfully turned around on his chair to watch the crowd before him.
Nick had been thinking about Brian a lot lately, especially because he had been with Leighanne more and more often. The initial heartbreak of the end of their intimate relationship was still fresh in his mind, but for some reason that night, he was feeling playful. He wanted something to take his mind away from the heartache and the pain. Paul’s suggestion of a party sounded wonderful, and it was proving to be at least entertaining. As Nick’s eyes scanned the crowd, he felt himself harden at the sight of hot men grinding into each other with the beat of the music. Everywhere, men were sucking on each other’s necks, gripping tightly onto each other’s asses as they rubbed their growing erections against one another’s. The music pumped through their bodies, thrusting their tongues further down their throats, pulling their bodies closer together, and causing them to grind faster and harder against one another. As soon as Nick heard the familiar beat of his favorite artist, Whitney Houston’s new remix of "It’s Not Right, But It’s Okay", he left his seat and headed to the dance floor. He had recently been listening to her remix cd lately, the lyrics of determination and self-confidence of life without a man had been inspirational to him during the past few weeks. Nick assumed by the looks on the faces of the dancers that he past, that he wasn’t the only one. He searched through the crowed, trying to find a spot that he could release his tension, be himself, and at the same time not be noticed. After fighting his way slowly through the crowd of gyrating men, he found his way to a secluded corner of the club, a perfect place for him to express himself. He closed his eyes and the music took him over. He was soon moving his hands all over his body as his feet danced to the beat. The chorus rang through his ears and mind as he mouthed the words to the song " It’s not right, but it’s ok, I’m gonna make it anyway, pack your bags up and leave, and don’t you dare come runin’ back to me, I’d rather be alone than unhappy." Nick felt so confident as he danced, that he was going to be Okay, he was strong and would make it through the heartache. Suddenly a loud moaning crept into Nick’s thoughts. Nick’s eyes were still closed as he heard the groaning coming from behind him. He knew it was most likely two men grinding against one another through the unnecessary fabric of their pants. The moans grew louder… "mmmm yes…baby, fuck yess…" he heard. Both of the men were breathing heavily as they danced with each other. Nick opened his eyes and slowly spun around to inconspicuously see what was happening. He almost tripped over his own feet as he saw the two men before him, their moans now silenced by passionate kisses as the shirtless, muscular man gripped onto the tanned, shorter man’s ass, pulling him closer to his own body. Both of them were running their hands all over each other, grasping for any skin that had not been touched. Their bodies continued to grind to the music, their erections pressed tightly against one another as Nick stood there, astonished. "How…How….D?" was all that Nick could manage as he watched one of his closest friends and band mate making out with a fine looking, built man.
