Getting Married?
~scroll~~scroll~~scroll~
I'm a big fan of most anything 'Do-It-Yourself'... and judging by the size of the section by that name at every book store I've been in, so is most of North America.

Getting married is stressful enough, but there are some wonderful rewards of getting the whole thing together yourself. This is the perfect opportunity to indulge the control-freak within you... especially if you cringe at the thought of handing over the entire project to a wedding specialist you don't know, or to your fiance's family (who you are pretty sure are going to use this chance as an outlet for their grievances).

Chances are, I don't know you, and I don't know your situation. I don't know if you are paying for the wedding yourself, or sharing expenses, or not taking on the financial burden in any way. I don't know what kind of wedding you want, if it's formal, semi-formal, casual, or a combination of them all. I don't know your ethnic or religious traditions, what you like or don't like, or what your great-auntie is insisting upon. But I did indulge my control-freak side, and I did put my entire wedding together, with the help of my mother (one of the few times I could actually be the boss) and maybe a few of the things I've experienced can help you plan your wedding, and potentially avert a small disaster.
