I, Sweta Poddar
was born on 2nd October in Calcutta at New Union Hospital
as Daughter for Mr.Nirmal Kumar Poddar and Mrs.Bimla
Poddar. I learnt that it was raining cats and dogs
at the time of my birth & was a new moon
day.
My parents were blessed by a son in 1980 21st of Nov,
my younger brother Lokesh Poddar who is married to
his childhood sweetheart Twinkle in January 2003.
They really are a cute couple.
what shall I say about my mom, "MY MOM"
all the credit for what I am today goes to her. My
MOM was my backbone till i got married. She motivated
me , helped me, created "Sweta" who today
is capable of being independent. If it had not been
for my mom, I would never be able to do what I always
want.
My mom was born and brought up in Jaffna, Srilanka.
Her father owned lots of land including a beach, etc.
So she grew up staying opposite the beach and the
forest behind where wild foxes, cobras, snakes and
scorpions , etc lived there. So she told me a lot
about her adventures. It is very interesting to hear
about her life. I wish I could make a story about
it. U can imagine about a jungle girl! But now her
family have shifted back to Chennai and left the entire
land and house locked there due to LTTE. I hope one
day I will visit their homeplace so that I can visualize
the past life of my mom.
My father was born and brought up in Calcutta along
with his 5 sisters and brother. He is eldest of all.
He is very traditional.
On 15th Feb 2006, I got married to Sudharshan Murthy
who have been my very good friend since. He was born
and brought up in Bangalore, India. He is civil engineering
by profession.
