Napoleon Hill was born on 1883 in a small room cabin in Wise County Virginia. His mother died when he was 10. He began his writing career at age 15 as a journalist for a small town newspaper and worked his way through law school. At the age of 25, he met Andrew Carnegie while working for a motivational magazine. Carnegie confronted Hill with the question of whether he would be willing to spend the next 20 years in pursuit of this goal. Hill said ‘yes’, although his work, culminating in Law of Success, was never funded by his mentor. He then became a respected attorney and best-selling motivational writer. Many thousands credit Napoleon Hill’s book Think and Grow Rich as the beginning foundation of their financial and personal success. Hill died in November 1970 after a long and successful career writing, teaching and lecturing about the principles of success. His work stands as a monument to individual achievement and is a basis of modern motivation. Millions of people continue to learn from his life-changing books and audio programs.
