Dragon's Pawn
Serpentine body
Wiggles and writhes
Undulation of pulses, electric or fire.
Bright white or
Silver
Scales of jeweled ivory,
Opals,
And pearls.
I blind you in the sun look now I’m gone
You cannot see me.
Breath of icy cold,
I laugh in your face,
Still I’m hunted
For sport and for game,
Tease me not tired old knight.
I am the enemy
You the victor.
These don’t give me cause, I’m
Lost among the ruins from your past,
Maybe extinct,
Least in your eyes.
Such the way went the Unicorn
Noah didn’t quite catch it.
The Gryphon
No one even knows.
And finally, Draco
Placed high in the skies
Man once forgot
Now he redeems what he believes,
In forgotten fairies tails.

As a Dragon, I feel it is important to write about one's heritage. So, this poem is the real me, in Draconic form, using Human speech. Sorree! (Dragon Grin:-)) And it proves how important, we, the virtually non-existant creature are to this world.
