Exodus In The Library

Friday night, it’s quiet, And the whips have ceased their incessant torment
Of students.
The calls of Ramsey,
Morrissey,
Jensen, and Reddy echo through the
Halls. A man steps forward
The light blinding others in his
Presence,
He walks up to the desk and the wave begins,
He beckons the librarians,
“Let my people go to Sunny’s!”
The ground starts to shake, the
Lights flash angrily that the time
has come, “The library is closing in fifteen
minutes.”

A very silly little poem that I wrote about my friend who used to work at the library at the school we both went to (I'm still going there) and she work the closing shift on fridays. So, when my friend told me about how when the library gets ready to close they flash the lights and everyone whose in the library flocks to leave. It was amusing when she refered to it as an exodus, hence the poem.
