Well, it all started as a joke...
You see, about six months ago I began badgering my boyfriend, David, as to when he would actually pop the question. Most of the time, he was so busy and concerned with the mundane points of life, that to think about marriage and weddings would just overwhelm him, but he promised me that it would happen.
Now, mind you, I love David and know that he would fulfill his promise to officially make me his (unofficially, it was already obvious). So, when I began bothering him about this...it was just to tease him.
After a few months of this annoying behaviour, David told me flat out that he would marry me, but he wanted to do it the traditional way, with the ring and the whole deal, and at that time he hadn't been working at his job long enough to have the money for a ring. But does it end there? Nope, not on your life!
One day, David came to visit (since he had graduated the year before, but I was still in college, for another year). On this day, we had lunch in the Campus Centre of Fredonia State (also called the Willy C!), after lunch, we went over to bother our friend, Erin, who is just wonderfully fun to tease (Love ya, Erin!)
So, in Erin's room, we sat down to hang out, David was catching up on news, while he'd been gone. And beingI funny I told Erin about the joke, teasing David as well...well, it got serious, because Erin got up and walked over to her dresser. She processed to throw a ring at David and said to David, teasing of course, to just do it. Well, I thought Erin was just helping add fuel to the fire.
Well, I looked at David, straight into his eyes. He was looking at me, and then he down on one knee, while I was thinking, "Oh god, he's now playing along." Right there he asked me to marry him...
Thanks Erin!!!!
Most definetely, Thank-you, David!!! Who I swear to be by his side always...the one person who fit into the puzzle of my life the easiest (except for Kerry, but that's another story). The man who took a broken and beaten and stepped on heart, and molded it into the most beautiful thing created since time began. It is through David that I have found the strength to carry on after the most difficult points of my life. On January 23, 2001, we celebrated our two year anniversary!!! I have given my heart to David...I this is my dedication to him, to show him how much he means to me...
