Currently we have English and French Angora Rabbits. The reaction we get from most people is "what is it?" These adorable little bundles of joy look more like a miniature sheepdogs or a stuffed toy than a rabbit until you look at their ears or see them move. These bunnies require grooming at least once a week, and that is why they do not always make good pets for children or someone who does not enjoy grooming their pet. But these rabbits have wonderful loving personalities and are quite humorous to watch when we bring them in the house and let them romp around the kitchen. Just like dogs or cats, the disposition of a rabbit depends upon their breed. So, if you decide to get a rabbit as a pet, do some research first to make sure the rabbit you choose will meet your expectations. Just because a rabbit is small and adorable, it does not mean that it cannot have a nasty disposition.

Hooch & Cimaroon

These bunnies are "Hooch" and "Cimaroon." Hooch is a REW (Ruby-Eyed White) English Angora, and Cimaroon is a Tortoiseshell. Both have won several awards at shows

All our bunnies have their pedigrees and are from different breeding stock located all over the country. All are handled regularly and are members of the family. As you can see by the above picture, Pooka likes to climb into my shelves and make himself comfortable! I like to let them loose and run around so they can get some exercise. They are extremely fun to watch.

These three cuties are French Angoras and are named Midnight, Starlight, and Coux Roux, which is pronounced "Coo Roo." Midnight and Starlight are sisters from the same litter. Coux Roux is a tortoise shell buck. Since he is a FRENCH angora, we thought we would give him a French name, and Coux Roux was appropriate because he has a patch of red on the back of his neck. Have you guessed that "Coux Roux" means "Red Neck" in French?

When we brought Pasha home, she was still a baby. She will be two years old this summer. I purchased her in Indiana from Candy Haenszel, who specializes in Blue-Eyed whites. Candy's home page can be reached on my links page. Each one of our rabbits was hand-picked with care and for a reason. Currently, we have ten bunnies in our rabbitry, each with their own special traits and personality. This past year my son Sean bred two pair of rabbits, and we had two nice litters. Each of the babies, except for one, was placed in a good home.

It's hard to believe that the little, one-week old kits you see on the left changed into the cute lovable little guys you see on the right within two weeks! They grow so fast!
