Might do - there is a random chance that they'll notice your scouting (maybe each scout
should have a 'secrecy' rating in future ?) - please bear in mind though that they're much
more likely to notice 'local' scouting than scouting abroad (for fairly obvious reasons).

Is there any way in which you can
tune down the amount of players that will be available come December 30? Why do clubs
always wait until 6 months before end of contract before trying to renew? Surely they
would be desperate (eg Roy Keane) to tie up his contract before other clubs are allowed
come on with offers?
This has already been tweaked a fair bit for CM01/02 - bear in mind though that a lot of
players irl prefer to wait until the six month mark before renewing because it puts them
in a very strong position for renegotiations ...

The only REALLY anoying thing about CM..
the pace/acc but. There's no denying it's existence.. for instance, in 2015 2 - two -
players in the Brazil squad are faster than 10. Excellent players in every other respect
are still slower than an average turtle.. That would be ok with a few players, but not all
of them.
I've tuned the regens and player abilities over a 30 year
period for this version so yes it is fixed.

On a serious, would the fact that the
fans have supported me in issuing an ultimatum help sway the board in any way?
It means that the fans agree with you, you can sometimes unite the fans behind you like
this when the board is peeved with you .... this can make the board think twice about
sacking you (as fans opinion is a large factor in any sacking (and in ultimatum decisions
incidentally) ).

This indicates that the player can handle a reasonable amount of pressure and is fairly
loyal (ie. ins't planning to run out on you) ...... worry more about messages indicating
that a player is 'Hoping to impress visiting scouts', that means he's not the most loyal
player in the world and is actively considering naffing off if a decent offer appears.

Who can explain me in all details new
transfer system? Unprotected players can go to other club with no transfer fee but only
compensation during windows. What about players protected which moves during windows, we
must pay normal transfer fee? And what about moves unprotected and protected players not
in windows? Is it possible?
Protected Players" - These can only move during the
bog-standard transfer windows for bog-standard wads of cash ...
"Unprotected Players" - During the special transfer windows they can go on a
pseudo bosman for compensation, you can however choose to purchase them for wads of cash
during normal transfer windows if you really can't wait ...

Seeing as this is the last release of the CM3 engine I've
slipped in a way of editing and changing the CPU tactics into the game ... this is NOT in
the demo, but will be in the final release. Its implemented via. editing of the
player_setup.cfg file in the same way that the ARSE command is, this is simply to prevent
less technically able users from screwing up their game. The command you will require is:
PRESET_TACTICS
This will enable to new options on the tactics screen, 'Load Preset' and 'Save Preset'
these will load and save CPU tactics. Hope this helps give you even more fun from the new
versionYou will only be able to overwrite existing CPU tactics but there are around 20 odd
.pct files available to play with to do this (if I remember I'll add in a couple of
duplicate 442 style tactics for you to use as well - this will allow 'extending of the CPU
tactical knowledge base).

I played as Liverpool in my first game with
the demo, and no one, including those who are supposedly good with such things, had any
luck with the free kicks and the corners
DFK goals are a little lower this year, simply because they
were over-exagerated in the previous versions (for example: Beckham is reknowned as a
great freekick taker, in the last 5 years he's only scored over 6 goals in a season ONCE
(including goals from open play), however if you check freekicks and corners which lead to
goals are fairly common (same as previous versions) ... you'll also notice a few 'short
freekicks/corners' being taken now.

these LITTLE things that help make the game as realistic as possible
As usual these little touches reveal information about the
players whose profile they're on (ie. 'Hopes to impress the visiting scout' = ambitious
player hoping to move onto a bigger club at some point, etc.) .....

Check in the commentary for comments like 'that was a bit harsh' etc. - these are the ones
which you're most likely to get appealed. If you continually moan for no reason then a few
things can happen:
* The FA can fine you for bringing the game into disrepute
* The media can get on your back
* The FA can decide that they'll ignore any future appeals 'cos you always moan

The red-green problem in the

Please add a line to the player_setup.cfg file with the word COLOURBLIND on it - that'll
switch the colours to a new set which you will hopefully be able to see better (it'll also
switch the colours on the training screen as well).

The CPU managers have always operated under a 'fog of war' - this is the reason you don't
often get that much competition when you're snapping up certain swedish wonderkids ....
the FoW just evens the playing field up.

There are many more than just 2 stages of fog .... you'll

Accuracy - I'm not going to leave stats variable in CM01/02
(at least) what you see will be what they've got ... this is partly because its a new
feature that is quite a radical change (and I want to guage how people get on with it) and
partly because that sort of depth is better suited to CM4 where I can design it in from
the start rather then 'force' it onto the CM3 engine.

The player will be sent to a specialist who will either do surgery or perform
physiotherapy (as appropriate) ... this will take the player out of the game for a period
of time (while he's treated or recovers from surgery), after which he will (mostly) be
cured of his recurring injury.
The treatments are not always 100% successful, but will at least reduce his injury (ie.
make it less severe).

The selling/buying of star players has much larger
repercussion in CM01/02 than before (especially because players relationships with
team-mates are more prevalent in CM01/02).

CM01/02 is harder if you played using 'super tactics' in
previous versions as many of these will no longer work as well (especially the 'super
narrow' tactics) ..... however if you played using a normal formation (eg. 442 etc.) then
it will be around the same level of difficulty. The match engine now gives even more
feedback on what is working (or going wrong) during a match so if you pay attention to
this feedback it can make it easier to tweak tactics. This through the commentary via
messages such as:
'No one is picking up 'Chadwicks' runs from midfield'
'Ferguson towers above Keown'
'Keown can't keep pace with Owen'
etc. etc.

I've upped the effect on a managers reputation of winning
competitions for CM01/02 (ie. you'll automatically get a certain reputation if you win a
competition and the increase for winning it is slightly higher).

I've fixed this in CM01/02 - basically he wants a wage higher than you can currently offer
.... try offering the max you can and some release clauses and he might go for it.

Seriously though while I think its fair enough that a
player who's doing a huge amount of passes gets tired I think CM00/01 exagerrates this a
little too much so I've tuned it down a little for CM01/02 Don't panic the severe drop
from 70+ passes has been reduced drastically, hopefully CM01/02 will finally get the
stamina to a situation where everyones 100% happy with it (yeah some chance

Players will be greedier on average in CM01/02 - however
clubs have more cash so it balances out pretty much (as in real-life, the more the clubs
earn the more the players want ...).

It does (CM01/02) have the same requirements more or less
(up to 24MB as the minimum RAM now is the only change) ... database has risen from 65,000
players to around 115,000 though .....

Is the Random Players option going to
