Welcome to
Justin's 1965 GMC Truck Project
It is not to bad hugh?
Hello there, thanks for visiting my site. I created this website back when I first got my truck when I was 18 to show others the process of my project.
Well what we got here is a 1965 GMC 1/2 ton which used to have the original 305E V6 in there, then it had a 305C V6, and now it has a 350 V8.  With the original drivetrain I had a SM-420 which I replaced with a NP-435.  It made a big difference in acceleration and driving up steep grades.  More information on the swap is available, just click on the tranny picture below.  I had power disc brakes installed in the front.  Wow, what a difference that made.  I wish I had disc brakes when I got my truck.  Get this, the day after I got the new brakes they helped me avoid hitting a deer which I would have hit for sure with out the extra stopping power.  I would have hit it for sure if I didn't have the added braking power.  Hopefully I will get around to taking some pics of the disc brakes sometime soon.
This project is going to take a long time to finish because of course, lack of funds :) That seems to slow down all our projects hugh?  But none the less I love it, and I am going to continue to have a lot of fun working on it.
Don't forget to check out my second page. The link is at the bottom of this page.  I thank you for your time and I hope that you enjoy my site.  Im going to be updating my site periodicly so check back if you want to see some progress : )

Thanks.

These four picturs above are all old, back before I removed the nasty farm mirrors and replaced them with peep mirrors. I also replaced the Chevy hood with a GMC hood, removed the rear bumper to soon put a roll pan on, and replaced the front bumper with a triple chrome plated one.
