Here is another marvelous painting by J. M. W. Turner (1775-1851), it was painted while in Holland at the town of Dort. The painting represents one of his best scenes of a tranquil harbor. This view is based on a fragment of the original, which is displayed below as a thumbnail. The real thing is 92 inches wide. |
