CIRCLE: Lots of fire , 28 pink candles; 28 for a lunar cycle, pink for love. Torches lit at each Quarter. Cauldron lit in
the South (for transformation; flame of passion).

ALTAR: Set in the East, decorated with springtime flowers (for new beginnings, fresh growth), fruit, grain, and money (for
prosperity). Dara's athame, dish of homemade sea salt, large cockleshell of rainwater, censer lit and smoking; bowl of incense.
Red candle (lit), silver and gold candles in floral candleholders (unlit), and a silver and gold ribbon.

BREAD: Bairin Brack , fruit for prosperity, honey for love. the bride's ritual bread basket, woven with a spiral
pattern, representing the spiral of life.

WINE:  Homemade Orange Blossom Honey Mead for love. A single silver mazer cup with two handles,
representing unity. We now drink from the same cup, and what we do now we do together.

INCENSE: White sage  and lavender; sage for purification, lavender for love. Smudging feather specially
made for the occasion of feathers we've collected together; black for purification, white for purity, and pink for love; the hilt
wrapped with pink and red leather, for love and lust; and a bell for purification.

ANNOINTING OIL: Victorian Rose oil

BROOM: Besom decorated with pink ribbon and flowers, for love.
 

Bride & Groom, starting in the West, walk in opposite directions, meeting before the altar in the East.

CALLER OF THE NORTH: "Blessed be by the element of Earth. May you be blessed with steadfastness, harmony, health,
and strength." ALL: "So mote it be." (Bride and groom walk back to the altar.)

PRIESTESS: (Takes broom and walks around GROOM and BRIDE, sweeping the air) "By the powers of the Goddess and
God, I hereby sweep away all your past hurts. Let all the bad experiences which have in the past troubled you in love or made it
difficult to trust be swept away. Release the past and go forward into a bright future together."

SWORD PLEDGE: The groom draws his sword, salutes the bride, and offers it to her, saying; "My lady, by this sword I pledge
to protect and defend you, to the death if need be. I shall be a sword and shield to your back and you to mine. I pledge to you
my living and my dying, all equally in your care. I pledge to provide for you to the best of my ability, and the honeycomb shall be
the sweeter for coming from my hand. I pledge to you the first portion of my meat, and the first drink from my cup, for that
which was mine is now ours. I pledge to love you and honor you above all others. This is my handfasting vow to you." The
bride takes the sword silently in her hands and holding it, says: "My lord, I accept your pledge of love As I do accept the pledge
of your blade. Thou knowest what is in my heart As I know what is in thine. The magic of my will, and of my love Shall ever be
yours." Bride returns sword to Groom.

HANDFASTING:

PRIEST: (Picking up the ribbon, he sprinkles over it a bit of salt) "May this union be blessed by the Powers of Earth."

PRIESTESS: (Taking the ribbon from the Priest, she passes it through the incense smoke) "May this union be blessed by the
Powers of Air."

PRIEST: (Taking the ribbon from the Priestess, he passes it over the single candle flame) "May this union be blessed by the
Powers of Fire."

PRIESTESS: (Taking the ribbon from the Priest, she sprinkles a bit of water over it) "May this union be blessed by the Powers
of Water."

VOWS: Bride & Groom hold the ribbon in the middle in their right & left hands, binding them together with their free hands, as
they give their vows. (Emmet) "By bud and branch, by hoof and horn, by elder, oak, ash and thorn, (Dara) By Earth and Sea,
by Fire and Wind, by Sun and Moon and Stars, (Emmet) By Lord and Lady, by light and love, (Dara) I take thee to be my
Consort, my companion, (Emmet) my lover and my friend, (Dara) To honor and nurture, (Emmet) protect and to care for,
(Together, in unison) For as long as life shall last." The Priest and Priestess then takes the wand and holds it over the top of the
Bride and Groom's heads, saying: "Above you are the stars Below you are the stones As time passes, remember... Like a star
should your love be constant, Like the earth should your love be strong Possess one another, yet be understanding. Have
patience each with the other, For storms will come, but they will go quickly. Be free in giving of affection and of warmth. Have
no fear, and let not the ways or the words Of the unenlightened give you unease. For the God and Goddess are with you, now
and always!"

BREAD & WINE BLESSING: (Priestess) "Bright Lord and bountiful Mother, Thank you for the blessing of your union of Sun
and Earth as expressed in this grain. May your blessing be upon the union of Emmet & Dara as well." (Priest) "Bright Lord and
bountiful Mother, Thank you for the blessing of your union of Sun and Earth as expressed in this fruit. May your blessing be
upon the union of (bride and groom) as well."

GREAT RITE: (Groom) "As the athame is to the male..." (Bride) "and the chalice is to the female..." (Both) "may their union be
a blessing to both, and to all." (Priestess holds bread for the Bride & Groom) Groom offers bread to the Bride: "Bright
Blessings Be; may you never hunger. May I provide all the love you need." Bride offers bread to the Groom: "Bright Blessings
Be; may you never hunger. May I provide all the love you need." Bride and Groom each hold a handle of the chalice, in their
free hands: Groom to Bride: "Bright Blessings Be, may you never thirst. May I always be your very best friend." Bride to

Groom, holding hands, (still bound); groom takes the bread basket in his free hand, and the bride the chalice in her free hand,
and go deosil around the Circle, serving the coveners.
 

BROOM JUMP: Returning to the altar, the Priest & Priestess hold the broom, as the Bride & Groom step over it.

TOAST: (Priestess) "May you steal, lie, cheat, fight, and drink! May you steal each other's hearts, May you always lie in each
other's arms, May you both cheat death, May you always fight for one another, your sword to his back, and his to yours, And
may you both drink deeply from Her cup of life!"
