Megan Williams

I'd first like to thank Megan for submitting this song, hopefully she'll send more in the future(hint, hint). I've seen many songs and this one is a great example of how a verse should be structured, I'll tell you why:

Each verse relates back to the main focus of the thought, My Angel. There's coherence from one verse to the next(something you'd see in poetry) and it's done in a very simple manner. That's right I said simple ;-)

Simple is sometimes the best option. Megans use of generalization makes it not only easier to understand, but leaves room for personal interpretation. You don't have to cloud cover a thought, just because you think it needs to be done. Just make your point, in a simple, coherent, well thought out process. Megan knows this, and she shows it off very well.

Give us some feedback, enjoy ;-)

My Angel
Megan Williams

My angel
Come out and play
It's not cruel outside
In the world today

My angel
Won't you smile for once
You're suppose to be this great role model
Instead you turn our smiles to dust
Making us want to cry

My angel
What you want to be real
Is only pretend
And what you hope to pretend
Is just way too real

Wha ho ho hoa hoa
oo oo ooo oo, oo oo oo ooo
Please come back

My angel please don't shed a tear
Everything
Is going
To be
Alright
