SmartForce's Information Technology Courseware
Authorized personnel may utilize SmartForce courses for personal development or local unit/organization training. This may be done in a Digital Training Facility or, once registered with SmartForce, from the comfort of your own home.
Who Are Authorized Personnel?
Authorized personnel include: US Army civilian employees, US Army active duty military personnel, US Army National Guard members, US Army Reserve personnel, KATUSA and KGS members, Army foreign national employees, System administrators with IDs issued by SmartForce, and Contractors with IDs issued by SmartForce.
How Can I Use SmartForce Courseware From My Home?
All authorized personnel will be able to access over 1,500 Information Technology, Business Skills, and Interpersonal Skills courses from any location, around the clock (24/7). Follow the steps below for access to the New Army e-Learning/Web Based training.To sign up for a SmartForce account:
--Obtain an Army Knowledge Online e-mail aaddress/account if you do not already have one by signing up at www.us.army.mil.
--After signing on to AKO, look at the Armmy Wide Announcements on the right hand side of the page. Click on the "More Information" link next to "State of the art Computer Based Training available for free to Army workforce" and follow the instructions provided for obtaining your ARMYCBT/SmartForce account.
What Types of Courses are Available from SmartForce?The current Army CBT/SmartForce catalog of available courses is located here in Adobe Acrobat format. Courses fall into three major content areas: Information Technology Skills, Business Skills and Interpersonal Skills.
