Here are a few links to various Websites that we feel are very informative: The Nation.org GNNnews Accuracy.org Michael Moore Thought for the week: Only in America do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Greek meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures' | _____Editorial Comment_____ This is a great website: Check it out...MoveOn.org These people have really nailed GW Bush "on the nose". With the help of info. like this, hopefully, Bush will NOT be reappointed. Remember--he wasn't elected in the first place. Never before in the history of the U.S.A. has a presidential candidate so blatantly stolen an election, against the wishes of the people. I remember reading that "people get the government they deserve". Of course, this isn't always true. However, if the debacle of 2000 is allowed to repeat, then the future of freedom in this country is at-risk. AOL (the spam/porn KING of the Internet) has banned this Website!--we must be doing a good job! | 1/22/04-Tampa,Florida- Here in Florida we are getting a double dose of "Bush-itis". We also have to contend with little-brother Jeb. He has done everything possible to cut social-help programs in this state. They were sorry enough before he was elected(?). Now that his brother has "legalized" the illegal aliens (workers), it seems that Jeb's job is to insure that displaced Florida workers get "ZIP". This is all about lower wages, a lower standard-of-living, and a Transfer-of-Wealth from the middle-class to the upper-class. |
The Associated Press
January 12, 2004
WASHINGTON, Jan. 11 (AP) - People are turning increasingly to alternatives like the Internet for news about the presidential campaign, shifting away from traditional outlets like the nightly network news and newspapers, a poll found.
Young adults were leading the shift, with one-fifth saying that they consider the Internet a top source of campaign news, according to the poll by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press. About the same ratio of young adults said they regularly followed the campaign with comedy shows like "The Daily Show" and "Saturday Night Live."
We need to keep the press from being absorbed into The Media. This means keeping the word press, which is antiquated. But included under its modern umbrella should be all who do the serious work in journalism, regardless of the technology used.
The people who will invent the next press in America--and who are doing it now online--continue an experiment at least 250 years old. It has a powerful social history and political legend attached...
