Character Information:

Troubled, and forever drawn to his memories of the past which seem just beyond the reach of his arm, Glados came to Edle through a ritual initiated by these three individuals: Sky, Sylchiel and Tabris (Sylchiel's brother). Using the Stone of Honor to stabilize the space around them, the barriers of their souls were dissolved for a brief ammount of time to allow a near total merging of Spirit, including the Seven Sins/Clones of Rain. Using the body of an alternate person seperate to the ritual, the ancient and long slept Spirit of Eden took these merged spirits and with their Power attached to himself he was able to attain the strength to possess a true physical body, and remain in control of it. Up till this point he had been residing within Sylchiel as a semi-dormant entity, from time to time awakening and gaining control, though for the better part Sylchiel surpressed him, fearing the strange spirit that he did not understand. The most important part of the ritual was the actual contact between Sky and the Stone of Honor. Born out of the death of the Warrior of Honor, Rain/Isios Lightheart, Sky is not only the new incarnation of Rain but also the Sword of Glory taken human form. To gain the strength he needed to realize his plans for creating a demon army after turning to the Dark Side, Rain absorbed the holy Sword of Glory into himself, though not the Stone of Honor which belonged inside it. If sky ever came into contact with the stone again, the barriers to his soul would be nullified to accept the power of the stone and he would once again return to the form of the Sword, with the sleeping spirit of his human mind trapped within. Sylchiel, Tabris, Nataku and eventually even Sky knew of all this. (note: the true purpose of the clones of Rain had to do with the foretelling by the demons that in Rain reborn would also be reborn the Sword which he absorbed. In hopes of gaining this power, they decided that with a combination of Magic and Mechascience they would form clones of him. The man designated to command this operation was Sylchiel, and from the sacrificing of his own body tissues enough material was gathered to birth the first true clone of Rain: Nataku was his name, however heavily flawed with the lack of both true Soul and Spirit. The later six clones were more human like in spiritual and physical structure, yet all still failed to contain the Sword. Nearly immediatly, it became apparent that Rain had already been reborn wih the Sword of Glory. The new purpose of the Clones, now titled the Seven Sins of Rain, was to hunt this new incarnation down (with the exception of Nataku who chose through "logical reasoning" and resonating memories of Rain's life, to protect Sky and teach him his abilities). Glados's true origins lay back deep within the history of the world, which existed seperately from the reality that Edle existed in. Often titled as Aria Doma, or Creedance, by the half-angel Endymion, the world of Eden was now a desolate, frozen wasteland. More on this in Taiyono's page.
It was Taiyono who awoke Glados' sleeping spirit early, and prayed to him for his aid in rebirthing their home to its past glory. Glados accepted the mission, rising from the misty depths of the Spirit Realm upon a decision instead of undergoing the pilgramage as Endymion had to find the Sages, to seek out and to give new life and end the endless winter himself. Glados knew of the Four Relics which gave (as well as took) power to each of the Four primary worlds which existed as the figure heads of all other smaller worlds and dimensions. First he inhabited the body of Sylchiel, the carrier of the first Relic - the Spear of Uriel/Spear of Destiny. Next after the ritual to take human form that involved the fusion of Sky, Sylchiel, and the Seven Clones of Rain, Glados claimed the second relic, the Sword of Glory. After finding the third relic, the Horn of Heaven/Crescent Harp, the last phase of the mission was nearly in sight. In the fourth world, Modern Day Earth, he could use the three relics already in his possession to call forth the last Relic, the Holy Grail/Cup of Life. With all four relics in hand, Glados could perform a Magic similar to that which brought him in the world. Disolving the barriers which seperated all worlds, everything in existance would become one again, centered around the plane of Eden as its head figure in which to merge. Space, time and life flowing in a river of 'being' and energy toward his old home, Glados planned to direct the power to reshape it and perfect it once more. With the help of Kitta, Uthra and another with near equal power to theirs who might have the experiance and strength to control the Relics, the ritual would have been succesful. Only at the sacrifice of the other three worlds and all life forms existing in them at the time however, would it be complete. When realizing Glados' intentions in the midst of his ritual, Kitta and Uthra did try to stop him, attempting to convince him that there was another way to do it and bring back his home. Deciding to go ahead with the ritual by himself, Glados used the relics but there was not enough energy to stabalize the space and all four were trapped within a shadowyalternate dimension, lost. Glados decides to return to his long sleep in the Spirit Realm, giving of his life to save Kitta and Uthra and releases the souls of those which he had inside of him. Sky appeared out of the shadows and led the two out of the dimension, and Glados was never seen again.

"I am not a God nor am I a man...I am merely a single seed of many, fallen from the Tree of Life..." Glados, before giving up his life.

Role-player's Comments:
Glados was very ... differrent for me to play. I had him planned out for a while before he came into being so to speak (hehe), but it was not always an easy role to play because his character was very different to time. Glados worked in extremes. At times he was completely naive and innocent, playing with food and running in the mud and rain because these were things he never felt before. At other times, he would jump straight into quite a wrathful anger. At the same time it was refreshing. There was a long time span between the time I played him and the time I played Rain, where most of the characters inbetween were very aggresive, violent sorts (couple of npc's too). However Glados was more defensive in his tactics, and often used his power to spare the lives of those his companions might simply of killed.
I didn't get to play him for terribly long in comparison to other characters due to the nature of his story, but perhaps I will again someday. His storyline I was very satisfied with, and he was a great character to play in a tight situation with all his cool powers. =D
