Wed. 23.11.2005 Law Resource Centre sounds
I can't believe I've actually finished my exams, it really doesn't feel like it. What an anti-climax... I suppose it doesn't feel like it because I spent most of my study time just lazing around and procrastinating. For the final subject, I think I studied a total of 3 hours when I had 3.5 days to study. The trend in other subjects was terribly similar. Had my final exam on Monday - wasn't too bad in my opinion -, came back home, then went out again with mum. Sat at some friend's travel agent office for an hour, then went to watch a free movie : The Family Stone. It stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Diane Keaton, Claire Danes and some guys that look familiar It's supposed to be a romantic comedy, but I felt that there were some drama parts that made the atmosphere more down. However, it seemed like most of the cinema-goers liked it. My mum liked it. We had a late dinner at Seoul House, which was quite yummy . Came back home late, exhausted, shower and slept.
Yesterday was a full day's work. So many invoices to enter After dinner, I seriously just crashed and didn't wake up til today's morning. Felt a little urgh, since I hadn't showered before I slept... I'm so lethargic these days!
Now, I'm in the Law Resource Centre at uni, typing this out. I need to return a library book that I renewed three times, but hardly ended up using it.
Well, now that it's the holidays, maybe I could bother to do a new layout for this blog???! Actually, as I age, I think I'm just getting lazier and lazier. I'm thinking of abandoning ship at geocities and just continuing on with my msn myspace account...

P.S. These keyboards suck! The keys are so stiff! My fingers hurt now!

Whoa, it's been 2 weeks since I've last updated this thing. Whoops, sorry! I have had time, but I suppose I keep putting things off - as usual. Have so far completed one exam. Didn't study much for it as I fell in to the "Open Book" trap, ie was totally dependent on learning new information on the day off the textbook and lecture notes. Not a wise idea The weather, while I was attempting to study, was just terrible. It was hot and humid and just made me want to sleep, and leading to so many afternoon naps. Next exam is on Monday and I'm in the midst of studying for that. It's the most strangest subject. Try to prove a statement is false and if you can't that means the statement is valid/true My head doesn't can't grasp these type of concepts easily...
I completely stuffed up my sleeping cycle yesterday. Stayed up til 5am on the computer, then had a shower. Tried to sleep, but couldn't since daylight was breaking through. I ended up joining my brother and mum to his school to help him get crutches - he sprained his ankle the day before. So effectively, I didn't sleep!

W00t! I ended up getting a H1 for that law essay But every other mark is looking kind of crappy. BPA mark was very average, probably would have recieved a higher mark with a better group. Seriously, that group assignment was mostly just done by me! Planning to get a P to a H3 for 254 Software Design because it would be too much to expect any higher, considering I got 3.5 in the first part. Okay, no more projects from now on, so I should concentrate on studying. As usual, haven't done any preparation! In 2 weeks time, I am supposed to know most of the Corporations Act 2001! Yea... Maybe I should start studying right after I click "Save"...

Just collected my 254 Java programming project, got better than I expected. But then again, anyone would, when you expect 1. I still didn't manage to pass the project, although it seems I lost alot of easy, easy, easy marks! But those mark losses were due to a lack of time and if I actually had more time or were able to start earlier, I would have been able to complete the output component sucessfully anyway! I got lazy and only did very minimal documentation and as the deadline neared, I forgone information hiding and consistency. Amazingly, if I had actually focused on them instead of obtaining the correct output, I would have got 6(!), which is slightly better than a pass! Gees, if only they actually gave out a criteria sheet! Well 3.5 is definitely better than 1. It makes getting over that hurdle easier. Sorry for my low aims, I have no intention of aspiring my readers - if they even exist(!).
Next to collect: Corporate Law essay. I really hope I don't get a crap mark for that one. Although I didn't spend that much time on it, I felt that I wrote a constructive and solid essay, so I really hope I got a relatively good mark. I have no delusions of obtaining a H1 or even a H2A might be a little too high for my feeble brain. Hopefully a H2B. Anything lower will be very disappointing! Anyway, must make a start on the second 254 project!

Yep, been neglecting this. It ended up being another crazy week of minimal sleep. I thought BPA was on track, but on Tuesday night, I get an SMS saying that one of them can't complete her part and then later I get back home only to find that another one has no idea about this subject Hopeless, hopeless! How did I get stuck with such a sucky group? They shouldn't know the address of this blog, so... Therefore I ended up writing 700+ words for a part of the report, which should have been completed by someone else!

It is nearly 1am. I need to shower and wash my hair soon. BPA assignment looks on track, well my part of it anyway I trust the others will be fine, the only concern is making it one whole cohesive essay - although the last time I tried that, we didn't end up getting that great a mark... However, the group was absolutely great though BPA group is okay, despite my initial resentment and almost destest at them... I know, crazy. I suppose I just had a really shocking day when I vented.
A big worry is the Prolog assignment; the first stage was easy; this second stage we're stuck on. Very, very, very dangerous, considering that it is due this Friday. Partly, it was due to the lecturer's fault for giving out the full spec only last Thursday, when the basics had been out for 1.5 months. Okay, okay, true, parter and I could have worked together earlier figuring out the solutions ourselves, but once news came through of sample solution, I just waited. I see, patience is just sometimes not a virtue.

Just to show how scatterbrained and displaced I've become, I've incurred a uni library fine for the first time! Not good! I had noted to myself in my mind to renew on Tuesday, but I completely forgot about it. Crap! Now I have to pay $5, which could have been completely unnecessary! I suppose, I could go to the library tomorrow and pay $2 less, but currently, I think my time is a bit short. I've completely wasted this holidays on the study side. Not good. I think I really need the summer holidays. This year has been okay for me, but I have just not put in the required effort.
Okay, I think I really have to rethink about my life and where it's at for now. Currently, not exactly in a rut, but just not achieving anything when I easily could. I may just have to push myself to actually study. Knuckle down for 4-6 weeks and just study, study, study. I suppose a few weeks of punishment to myself is okay to do well in the long-run. I really need to stop neglecting all these necessities in my life and stop wasting my time with the "fun stuff".

Sorry for completely neglecting this, but have had terrible amounts of assignments that were all due in the same week, where one I didn't even finish. Not too good, is that? Now on holidays and just taking it easy. I return to work tmrw, but I never find that a big hassle. Dad is currently in HK probably having a good old time. I wish I could have gone! Although with this new found passion of wanting various handbags, shoes, clothing, skincare and beauty products, it could be very, very, very, very dangerous for the bank account...

No interesting updates. Should be doing some study, actually alot of study. Grateful that Logic Project is nearly finished, but Java is of absolute no process. Don't know anything about cricket. I haven't started writing the Corporate Law essay either. Despite it being an optional assessment, I think it would be good for feedback purposes to attempt it. Even getting 10 out of 15% would be okay, at least I would receive comments on how to do it. Maybe I should try and get a rough draft done tonight, so I can get Nids, the law student, to proof read it. Keke.
Had a special "beauty" package at Karpati yesterday. Had a hair cut, "purifying" facial and luminex treament. Don't look any differen't. What a shame I wanted more volume in my hair , but I think the only way to get that would be to go get it curled, a la Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen style Hehe, look at this link I found, you can get wigs That's too volumous and hard to keep, in my opinion. Another 255 Logic and Computation lecture, another hour wasted. Most of the time I wonder if it's even useful to go to that lecture. I think it would be more beneficial to get at least an extra hour of sleep rather than falling asleep in the lecture theatre. Unforunately the lecture notes are crap, so I'm thinking I may soon have to get some materials off "Y" soon. Should have got them sooner rather than this late. Back to feeling down again. Ah, isn't life fun? Not! I know most people would be like, I can't wait for the holidays, but strangely, I rather finish all these assessments first. I think I need to make a rigid plan, starting from tonight as to all the study and research I need to do for the next fortnight. I can't believe this! Only 2 weeks to do 4 major assessment tasks. That's why I can't wait to finish these assessments first and then actually be able to enjoy a holiday. I don't think I will have time to do catching up work though, which is a major shame. I'd hate to think that's what I'll have to do in the holidays.

Still haven't caught up with study yet, but I promise to myself that I must get up to at least to week 4/5 study by the end of this weekend. Got another project specification today and it's due on that dreaded week. That means, 4 assessment tasks due on the same week. Logic Project and Mid-Sem test, Corporate Law Essay, Java Project! So much Fun, fun, fun. Not...
