Tanya's car: during and after the repairs
The car at the panelbeater's (Brent Kennard, Mohaka Place) at Palmerston North, after a truck-ride down from Hamilton - via Auckland and New Plymouth as a result of the transporter's normal planned route combined with the one it was supposed to travel down on rolling when en route to Auckland to collect it.
The car at my home just out of the panelbeaters' and just prior to me driving it back to Rotorua - November 2001. The passenger side's strange gloss is caused by the temporary undercoat.
The day after the above photo, after its return to Tanya (then living in Operiana Street, Ngongataha) in November 2001. The entire passenger side was patched and painted in red undercoat pending a full repaint at some future time (and theoretically not at Mum's expense). The distinctive patch on the back bumper was repairwork on its previously 'two-piece' (result of accident) state.
The hatchback was from another red Integra, and various other new and used parts went into the job. The passenger side wing mirror and aerial were not replaced until after Tanya's death.
Tanya bought a new hubcap to replace the missing one, but the rest was probably not touched prior to her death.
The car, showing the distinctive brownish-red patch on the back bumper, still parked where it was dumped in the carpark of the Tauranga-Taupo Gull Service Station, on 16 September 2002. This photo from the NZ Herald's website. See also the other photos taken of this day.
The car just out of the panelbeaters' after the final paint etc. on 18 October 2002, alongside Tanya's grave.
