Poetry is the language of the soul, attempting to communicate itself to others through words. Many have said it, fewer still have captured the true essence of poetry. For, to capture the essence is to speak the universal, yet unspoken, language; to capture an instant in the eternal existence of a single soul, and to bequeath that sublime instant to others. That is poetry.
