  • Chris Doyle - U.S.A.
  • Born just a wee bit early, Chris Doyle was blessed with powers and abilities far beyond those of the toddlers around him. Sadly, he traded all of those powers for a sack a magic beans, which he then ate.
Many phrases and adjectives have been used to describe him. We'd list them here, but so very few are complimentary.
He often wears a black leather vest and round spectacles. His head is shaved as often as not.
Historically, many people were forced to associate with him while he attended school in Jenks, Oklahoma, and later at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. Incidentally, Chris hates the state of Oklahoma and now lives somewhere else.
Long ago, back in the mid 1990's, he ran BootlegToys.com, and even wrote a book about it. Both of those projects are now lost in the mists of "things that could have worked out better, but didn't."
In April or so of 2002, Chris launched ReasonablyClever.com as a place to store stuff on the web. Then, while trying to remember just how Flash worked, he created the Mini-Mizer and suddenly his visitor count went from six a month (mostly his own visits) to thousands per day. Attention-slut that he is, this was a most welcome change.
He casts a human shadow, at least when people are looking. We're not sure what happens when no one is around - and we know better than to ask.
  • Before we begin, let me stress once again that the LEGO Group has nothing to do with this little project of mine. These cards were developed for my own personal enjoyment and as a tribute to all things LEGO®. I don't have anything for sale here. That means: "No, you can't buy a deck of these cards." And that's pretty much my disclaimer. Please drive safely, offer void in Utah, don't mix old and new batteries.
    Why a LEGO® Based Tarot?
Out of all the different things out there, why the heck would anyone take the time to make a tarot deck out of LEGO®? Well, mainly, because I hadn't seen it done yet. And I did quite a few searches looking for them on-line.
Plenty of Star Wars and Star Trek out there. There's even a masterfully done deck featuring the Peanuts Characters. But no LEGO®. Oh, there were a couple of places where people suggested making a deck out of them, or had them on a "to do" list. But nothing concrete......Until now, that is.
(As an odd bit of trivia, this deck was nearly postponed for a PEZ® Tarot. But, perhaps luckily, I couldn't figure out many cards past using the Bride and Groom for The Lovers.)
