Rubbing sleep from his eyes, Feres hurriedly followed the rest of the candidates onto the sands, covering a yawn with one hand. The hatching had certainly chosen an interesting time to occur... He stood and watched as hatchling after hatchling either chose to bond or not, marveling slightly at the great variety of colors and patterns. The hatching of the largest egg in the clutch drew his attention, and he watched as two striped dragons tumbled out onto the sands. One, a white striped with black, caught his eye as it moved towards him... and then sat directly in front of him Feres, mine. Why are you so fascinated with death? Is life not worth living, even with me, Thtayjuth? The male white looked up at him with a pensive expression. Feres smiled, responding softly as he moved to walk off the sands with Thtayjuth, "Of course life is worth living, especially with you in it, Thtayjuth." Good! I had hoped that that was what you'd say! Thtayjuth bumped his head against Feres' side, before settling down in front of a bowl of chopped meat and beginning to eat. He sat down on the floor next to his new bond, idly watching the newly hatched dragons walking in, some with bonds and some without. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Out on the sands, though, one egg remained unhatched, and the spectators began to rise and leave, thinking that this lone egg was a dud, but sat back down when Eusyscth hissed at them. The egg quivered, shuddered violently, and finally split cleanly down the middle, and a medium sized blue rolled out of the egg and landed nimbly on his brown siamese marked feet and looked around proudly I'm here! Don't leave yet! Hey- Upon realizing that there were no more candidates left, the blue seemed angry Feres! Where did you go!? When someone made a comment that the young man in question had already bonded, not to mention was already in the kitchen with his other bond, the blue huffed indignantly as he strode that way. Geez, how rude. Leaving me alone before I even get to meet him, or my fellow bondmate, for that matter. Feres! Feres blinked as he heard another voice in his head, looking up in confusion and wondering what was going on... to come face to face with a slightly put out looking blue. You forgot something. The blue stated drily. "Jhazhth..." Feres blinked again, looking down at Thtayjuth who was lounging at his side, wondering if his first bond was going to get jealous... But no, Thtayjuth merely looked over at Jhazhth, then back at Feres, almost as if he had expected this to happen from the start. Feres shook his head in slightly amusement, as he rose to fetch another bowl of meat for Jhazhth. Two bonds... and one which was probably never going to let him forget about leaving him on the sands alone... You've got that right! |
