Lungs Under Stress and Trauma meet on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 1:30pm in the Coummunity Health Centre at Kings Meadows. LUST also hold Bingo Games on the second Monday each month. Cost $4 for a book of 20 games and tea Contact:-Clarrie on 6334 0610 or Laurie on 6326 1904. LUST also has several items which can be borrowed by members or hired by others such as a scooter & nebulisers.

During the last 12 months an average of 31 attended our meetings, but fewer at Bingo. We hope the numbers will increase.

• Jenny Larner gave us an update on Lung Reduction Surgery & Lung Transplants. Jenny has since left the Asthma Foundation & now works at LGH. She still organises our school talks in conjunction with the Drug and Alcohol Service.
• Home oxygen was discussed by O2 suppliers for the Tas Health Dept
• Denise Ray from Palliative Care talked to us about where we can go to get help for our loved ones or our carer's.

• 19^th Oct 2000: The 2nd Tas Lungnet Seminar in Launceston had 5 topics and 7 guest speakers and a Bar-B-Q lunch catered by the Hadspen South Esk Lions Club. L.U.S.T. supplied tea, coffee & biscuits.
• 7^th Nov 2000: A very enjoyable B-B-Q lunch for the Melbourne Cup.
• 8^th Dec 2000: Raffle drawn at Xmas Luncheon raised about $1000.
• Dec 2000: Neil Marston had his lung reduction surgery & is looking good.
• June 2000, a very special lady passed away. She was Marguerite Moore, who was the instigator of "Setting the Cat among the Pigeons" race. (see report elsewhere).

I would like to thank Ruth for her help organising rooms, dates etc for our meetings & bingo, Thelma, Graeme and Bronwyn for cards, letters, flowers etc, Joy & Hec for our bingo prizes & afternoon tea, & Betty, Marianne and Bette for being our hostesses & getting the afternoon tea & last but not least, every member for being there for each other.
