Grapefruit in our New Zealand garden
Autumn into winter . . . . A picture taken from our garden. The grapefruit are coming along - they will fruit in winter!

Camelia Gardens at Caringbah
This picture was taken at the beginning of October in Camelia Gardens at Caringbah, just around the corner. It is an oasis of peace. The yellow flowers are bird of paradise flowers.
We live in the southern suburb of Kirrawee in Sutherlandshire about 30 minutes from where Sublime Point over looks Wollongong, NSW. When we go for a ride out we generally head down this way. The scenery is magnificent!
We like to drive up the Jamberoo Valley to Robertson on the top of the great dividing range. There are countless look outs and water falls.

Underline Earlier this week, my wife and I caught the train into town, had a coffee, then strolled down to the Opera House forecourt where a small cinema was showing Purely Belter.
We both loved the story and the accents and the humour and the glimpses of the people and places we left forty odd years ago.
Afterwards we crossed the forecourt to an open air restaurant where we dined as the lunch time joggers puffed by, the ferries chugged in and out while groups of tourists crept, ant like, over the arches of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
And all this under the sort of cloudless blue skies that we still never take for granted!
Ah to be in Sydney . . .
