History: In December 1999 The Tasty Joy Recording Company© traded its Chicago world headquarters for a more spacious setting in Cincinnati, Ohio. With SugarCity and The Busy Rushes, the two bands which created the recording company, moving 300 miles to the south, it seemed only reasonable for Tasty Joy to follow suit. As SugarCity and The Busy Rushes packed up their guitars, Tasty Joy Records©, packed up our mics and our our mascot Tasty Bee. The Chicago office and former world headquarters which houses the Bee Farm is now our second space after the Cincinnati office which we've come to know as The Hive. And for those on the east coast, Brooklyn's Honey Comb is still right where it was in Williamsburg.

Upon out relocation to Cincinnati, we were made aware of the history of Love Chocolate Records© and acquired a portion of the company. The result of this merger is a tribute to The Uninvited Guests which we have put together. All we ask is that you not lose yourself in the past--there are bands which need your support playing gigs in local venues this weekend.

We hope you enjoy,

Ven & Kel

Mission: Tasty Joy Record's mission is to promote new music. It's that simple. Our main interest is in promoting creativity rather than virtuosity. Bringing together musicians with ideas and providing a forum for those ideas is what we do. And we do it because we like to do it and because we think it is important. We do not make a profit nor do we hold the rights to music created by Tasty Joy artists. We do not sell CDs or MP3s on the Internet or by mail. In fact, we don't sell anything. But we do provide this web site so you can find out what is happening with our Tasty Joy friends.
