DMC 20 crochet cotton, at least two 25gm balls (the second ball is used to refill the bobbin)

Decide the width of the piece to be worked. If the number of motifs required to do this is an even number, work across the odd number one less than this number, and add on a sideways row to finish the piece. See the relevant page in the Workshop

Fill the bobbin from one of the balls of cotton, do NOT break off the thread, and follow the diagram below for the first motif:

Blue ring 10, p, 10                    Blue chain 12
Green ring 5, p, 5  :                   Orange chain 5
                                                Green chain 7, p, 7
                                                Purple chain 6
(N.B. In the diagrams the letters RT have been added to the arrow where threads are reversed.)
