Fettucine with Vegetables

1/2 cup uncooked fettucine noodles
1 cup sliced carrots
1 cup broccoli
1/3 cup butter
1 tbsp flour
pinch of salt
pinch of nutmeg
3/4 cup milk
paramesan cheese

In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a full boil. Add fettucine and carrots. Cook at medium heat for 6 minutes. Add broccoli. Cook until crisp and tender (4-5 minutes). Drain. Rinse with hot water. Set aside.

Melt butter in same sausepan. Stir in flour, salt and nutmeg. Stir in milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sauce comes to a full boil. Boil 1 minute. Stir in fettucine mixture. Reduce heat to low and continue cooking until heated through (3-4 minutes).
