I am Daryl McClain
and I was born in Newark, Ohio
and have
lived in the area my entire life. A 1991 graduate of Newark High School, I am currently an undergraduate
student at COTC working toward an AAS in Digital Media Design. I married my wonderful wife
just after high school and we have been happily married with two great kids for 17 years.
I worked for fifteen years in three different area factories, moving on when an opportunity for increased
pay arose. After completing the Pre Emplotment Training program at CTEC, I worked for Arvin Meritor
for ten years and then my job was shipped overseas. During this same time, my wife and I started a small cake
design company called McClain Creations, which we still operate today. As McClain Creations, we have earned several awards and accolades, including the 2009 "Brides Choice Award" from Brides.com. I took the opportunity the layoff
offered to return to college and work toward a degree in a field that utilized my artistic ability. I have learned much about design and look forward to using this newly found knowledge in conquering whatever challenges the future has to offer.
