Family

In the Beginning:

Finding ancestors can be both a mystery & rewarding. You get to find people that you weren't aware of & the challenge of finding them.I have found some very good friends while looking, & then the real surprise that your new found friend is also connected to you family.
First, talk to your immediate family, they have stories that are not only about your family history, but they are interesting, don't rely on your memory, take a recorder or if you have one, a video camera. Remember, you want to record history. At one time your history was the present, & in the future, this present will be the past. You have the means, utilize them.
There are many people out on the internet searching & researching, a great many are interested in the same Family Tree as you are. Go to Message Boards, they are a very valuable resource. Check were your ancestry hails from, there will be records in Churches, Family Bibles, Land Records, Death & Cemeteries. Birth Certificates & Death Records hold valuable information, they could move you back a generation in making a connection. Just don't give up, if they were here then you will find them. Good Luck & Happy Hunting

Where do we come from, our roots? I have provided a little information about where we have come from and what inspired me to do this research. Most of this information has been obtained from talking to living relatives and from researching public records. In the course of doing this research, I've discovered that I have many more relatives than I ever thought possible!

This is a work in progress, so please contact me if you have any information that might make a connection.
