Central Scouting Report:
A very good skater with a powerful stride and a great change of pace…Very well balanced and hard to knock off his skates…Has a very good wrist and slap shot…Very smart around the net and in traffic…Takes advantage of his size and makes good use of his body… Extremely strong in front of the net effectively screening the goaltender and quick to rebounds…Has the ability to score big goals…A solid hitter and can be a physical force on the ice…A power forward who can drive to the net and finish scoring opportunities.

Hockey's Future Report (pre-draft):
Look at his size. NHL scouts are drooling over his size and ability to score goals. Far from flashy, this hulk can pound his way to the net and can dominate the boards. His only problem is that he does not do it enough. He is widely criticized for his lack of physical play. I compare him to John LeClair. He doesn't fight much but if he can acquire some added presence in front of the net, he can be a 50-goal scorer in the NHL. He was also voted the second fastest skater in the Eastern Conference coaches poll. The first team that wants a Canadian power forward with size will draft him. I think he might crack the top 10. He will get some consideration for the World Junior Championships next year. He scored the OT winner for Team Ontario in the finals of the World under-17 Tournament last year.
