HAPPY NEW YEAR!

If New Years Eve was a time of reflection on the past year, surely these first few days of 1998 are a time to look forward. I have many hope for this year - to successfully finish my studies, to try to find someone to arrange an exchange with (any computing lecturers in US Community Colleges wanting an Australian lecturing exchange - Kalgoorlie really isn't such a bad place to live!), and of course just a happy comfortable year, with time for my family and myself.

We spent New Years Eve with Laurie family. Our house here is currently rented to Vic and Leanne, Laurie's brother (my wifes, sisters, husbands brother - and his wife). They had a bar-b-que, and most of the family was there. It was kinda strange going back to "our house" and it being occupied by someone else! But it was a pleasnat evening, and we saw the new year in without any drama. Yesterday we went out to Hillaries Marina to let Kathryn have a swim, and to enjoy a quiet cappucino. There were so many people down there with the great weather and the New Years Day holiday.
Today I am preparing for cadet camp at RAAF Pearce. As I'm not sure if I'll have access to suitable computers, I may not be able to post for a while. Still, I hope everyone is happy and well, and I look forward to re-establishing contact with you all soon.
