NATIONAL HEALTH PROGRAMME
4.1.1. The Centre takes concerted
measures to combat communicable, non-communicable and other major diseases. For
this purpose, several National Programmes are directly run by the Ministry which
can have a bearing in the reduction of mortality and morbidity and also have a
salutary effect on efforts to improve the quality of life of the common
man.
