Stage 1 of takes place in the walkways that are suspended over the massive machinary that runs the fortress tank. |
| Throughout the stage, there are numerous active conveyer belts; some of which can lead to dropoffs into the grinding gears (as well as electrically charged spikes) below. |

The boss here is a defense system, similar to one in M3 Base. This one fights in the same way, but instead of laser turrets, it can change direction of the conveyer in front of it. Once it is defeated, the path to the next stage can be accessed. |
