Tri - County SKYWARN works closely with the National Weather Service of Wilmington, Ohio and also the Fairfield, Perry, and Hocking County Sheriff's Offices in spotting severe weather such as Tornado's, Floods, Severe Thunder Storms, Blizzards, etc. Our Team is made up of Volunteers who dedicate their free time in establishing Communications in Severe Weather to help guard the safety of the public. **We now have a repeater setup on 50ft tower with 1/2" heliax line on a Kenwood TKR-820 repeater that covers about 10-12 miles in the Lancaster area. It operates on 462.600Mhz, Permission must be granted before use. Donations are gladly excepted to help keep it up and running.** We are also currently seeking donations of radio equipment and new members for the 2008 Weather season.
