A Your van pulls into the parking lot at K-Mart. You and your team hop out and meet the sponsor, Terry. He seems like a nice guy. He explains that you will be working in one of two places: Hope Haven, a shelter for abused or neglected children, or Gaits to Success, a horse farm for disabled children.
If you choose to work at Hope haven, go to B
If you choose to work at Gaits, go to C
B The next morning you and six of your teammates arrive at the site for the Hope Haven shelter. There is a lot of work to be done.
If you choose to work inside, go to D
If you choose to work outside, go to F
C You and two others arrive at Gaits to Success. You meet Barbara and her husband Keith and a couple of other people and start to work.
If you want to work on the fence, go to E
If you want to much stalls, go to G
D Inside the house the framing is completed, but insulation and drywall still need to be put up. Robert, the supervisor, tells you to put insulation on the ceiling. He hands you a stapler and some insulation. You work for maybe an hour and have almost finished a large from when Terry comes in and tells you that you don't need to put insulation on the ceiling, only on the walls.
If you murder Terry, go to H
If you don't murder Terry, go to I
E Barbara wants a new fence put up, so first you have to take down the old one. You are stubborn and won't wear gloves, so after a little while your hands are blistered and bleeding. But it's ok, 'cause everyone is really nice. You cut off the fence, and remove all of the posts that have rotted away. After planting new posts with the neat tool, you string out more wire. The wire is heavy, but it goes up. Congrats! You've finished the fence!
If you drive your trash to the dump, go to J
If you go and muck stalls, go to G
F There are holes in the ground that need to be filled with dirt. Jen starts with reckless abandon, but the rest of you are a little apprehensive. You go ahead anyway, and when the holes are filled, there is a pile of dirt that needs to be moved. After that there are mounds of dirt that need to be smoothed out. Unless you are Jen, you die from over-dirting.
The End
G Horses make messes in their stalls, and these need to be cleaned up. It smells pretty bad, but if it wasn't done the horses might get infections, and that would be bad. So you empty out one stall after another, loading the waste materials into a truck, and they lay down lyme or something and fresh shavings. They you do another stall. Then another. There seems to be no end to the horse stalls! Unless you are Jen, you die.
The End
H You kill Terry, and the police come and take you away. Now that was pretty stupid, don't you think?
The End
I You decide that killing Terry would not be a good idea, so you take down the erroneous insulation and put it on the walls instead. Once you've finished, you put drywall up on the ceiling and walls. A finished comes in and putties up the place, preparing it for paint. When he is done, you look around. Despite the fact that the house wasn't built very level, it looks pretty good. Well done!
The End
J You load all the trash into a truck and take it to the dump. The girl who works at the dump is cute and winks at you. You take all the metal stuff out of the truck and drop it into "The Pit." You see a broken blender in the pit. Cool! You drive back to Gaits.
Since all that's left is to muck stalls, go to G
