What I learned at Sea Island Habitat for Humanity, by Liz Kassera
I learned how to put rebar in the foundation before the cement gets poured. I learned how to put together the wood frames. I learned how to mark plywood. I learned how to drive a truck with no brakes, bad steering alignment and holes in the floor. I learned that it is better to work with Johnny than with any other employee. I learned that when pat gives a task, ask for clarification. i learned just what exactly is "good enough" dirt work for even Little George's standards. I learned that when eleven hard working adults get treated like 3 year olds, it's easy to feel like one.
