The Distillery

When in Tennessee Gold 4 took a trip to Lynchburg, home of the famous whiskey Jack Daniel's. The county is very small, with a population of 361. We took the tour of the distillery to see their unique process in making Jack Daniel's. the following are some fun facts about Jack Daniel and his whiskey.

Jack bought the distillery for $25, from a priest.

"The Oldest" registered distillery in the United States Reg. In 1866.

Jack was killed by a safe. When trying to get in it he kicked it in anger, and broke his foot. The wound became infected and killed him.

Jack took his whiskey to the World's Fair in 1904. There he entered the whiskey. The bottle that won the gold was only labeled with a tag that read No. 7. The lucky number 7 is still on the bottle today.
