Episode 35 
Because of Celestino, Carlos Alberto and Anabella have a terrible car accident. Juvencio finds out that Alirio is planning to do something to Carlos Alberto and tells it to Rodrigo. Anabella is taken to the hospital and she is going to be operated on. Junior receives a check from Victor Rivadeneyra and he gives it back to him. Maximiliana accuses Carlos Alberto of Anabella's condition and then notifies Alirio that their daughter is dying. Raquel tells Virginia that she would be glad if Anabella dies. Aldo visits Maricruz in the convent. Junior tells Lupe that she belongs to him now. Mr. Rodrigo finds out about his son's accident. Aldo assures Maricruz that he will never stop loving her. Vanessa telephones Santiago to settle a meeting and Raymundo gets more jealous. David gives Violeta a letter from Johnny. The doctor tells Alirio and Maximiliana that he saved Anabella's life but that she has a serious problem. 

Episode 36 
Dr. Cartaya informs Alirio and Maximiliana Anabella suffered very serious burns and wounds and her face will probably be disfigured. Raymundo attacks Vanessa on the beach and tries to rape her. Vanessa can get away and threatens to go to the police and press charges against him. Anabella accuses Virginia of being responsible for the accident. Vanessa asks Evelia and Edith to accompany her to the precinct to press charges against Raymundo, but they refuse and remark she is well known for her doubtful behavior with men. Rodrigo visits Virginia in her room and Violeta sees his back when he tries to kiss her. Carlos Alberto promises to marry Anabella no matter what her face looks like. Violeta tells Danilo and Carlos Alberto that Virginia is a tramp because she sees men in her bedroom. 

Episode 37 
Junior tries to give Lupita some money as a present but she rejects it and gets offended. Anabella takes the bandages off her face and Maximiliana is horrified when she looks at her face. Violeta tries to convince Carlos Alberto that Virginia is a tramp and she has a lover, he doesn't believe her. Alirio gives Virginia a week to get another job. Raquel tells Danilo there's something going on between Carlos Alberto and Virginia. Maricruz tells Aldo she has no religious vocation and that her mother locked her up at the convent because she knows a lot about what Maximiliana and Alirio did against Rodrigo, also that they now wish to do away with Rodrigo's children. Violeta has decided to throw Virginia out of the house. Rodrigo knows through Zaira that Carlos Alberto and Virginia are in love. Virginia has decided to tell the truth about Rodrigo being alive to his children. Alirio goes to confession with Father Chema but the latter doesn't give him absolution. 

Episode 38 
Violeta tells Carlos Alberto Virginia was kissing a man in her bedroom, she does not deny the man exists. Carlos Alberto insists on knowing the man's name, but Virginia refuses to furnish it and he insults her. Alirio goes to confession with Father Chema but he doesn't absolve him. Vanessa receives presents from Santiago and she is decided to extract all the money she can from him and to make him marry her. Virginia tells Zaira the only thing that binds her to Rodrigo is duty. Raquel reads to Anabella a love letter from Carlos Alberto to Virginia which she stole from the latter's room. Anabella says she will get even with her. Virginia decides to see Rodrigo and Carlos Alberto plans to follow her to discover who her lover is, accusing Sagrario of covering up for her. Danilo suspects there's a secret in the documents his father keeps so carefully. Maximiliana learns from Danilo that Maricruz knows about her evil actions against the Junqueras.
