NILP's services to the mental health community are by and for
self-directed individuals who have experienced the mental
health system first-hand as "patients" or clients.
We are committed to our own recovery process and to
EMPOWERING others to achieve self-reliance,
self-determination, and full civil/social rights.
Their (NILP's) services (to the mental health
community) are available FREE of charge to
all consumers, survivors, clients, and/or
patients of the mental health system
who are 18 years or older.
Through skills development, the
program enables participants to move
toward the goal of taking and
maintaining control of their own lives.
To achieve this level of independance
means to become empowered with the skills
to excercise responsible self-care, and
to recognize choices and options that
lead to fuller participation in one's
community.
