Alex Hartman

Born: 1 July, 2027

Nationality: European (German).

Origin: Frankfurt, Germany.

Information: Alex left school with no qualifications, his father in prison and his mother a barmaid in downtown Frankfurt. He resented being forced to become a computer technician due to the economy and his skill shortage. He worked on Mars until he bummed his way to Callisto and stole a space-suit in order to get work. He was arrested before the miners could lynch him (rough justice) and was given a six month sentence (working as directed without pay).
Alex is tough, independant, ruthless and would do anything to be a success. His one ambition is to set up the Hartman Group, a solar system wide company based on Mars.

Jason has made many TV appearances including The Chief, Inspector Morse, Sharpe, and is to take over the lead role in Heartbeat from Nick Berry. His theatre credits include Duncan in the RSC's Macbeth.

His hobbies include writing and supporting Manchester United.
