"We're through the black hole, and now we're in space-warp, beyond the point of infinite density." - Timothy Shaw
Eliot thinks that the storm is an electrical one of a peculiarly intense nature, whilst Finbow believes that it is an attack on their magnetic shields. Piers tells Eliot about Jean-Francois and Victoria's findings. They call up the results.
In the Dome, Timmy tells Fiona that they could be travelling to another galaxy, where he will be able to be a hero. Fiona wants to return to Space City to see her parents, and Timmy tells her that his parents died because of a meteorite hit on Space City Dome. Timmy explains to Fiona that they are in a wormhole, travelling through hyperspace, when Rosie arrives and tells him that Piers is working on a new diet for him. she suggests that he helps prepare the common room for the ball.
Eliot and Finbow try to convince Hartman to go outside the shields. If he does not go, everyone on the ship could die - including him. The only other person with the relevant expertise is Finbow, who is forbidden to expose himself to anymore radiation. In the ensuing argument, Eliot orders Hartman off the bridge.
Finbow asks Piers for a dose of Iodine 5 to allow him to go outside. Piers refuses, telling him that he is dosed against leukemia to the point where his bone marrow is ninety percent artificial jelly - if he goes outside he will die. Finbow is sure that with each hour they drift further from Jupiter. Piers doesn't agree with him, and refuses to treat him without a direct order from the Captain. Finbow agrees to talk to Eliot. As he leaves he thanks a confused Herlinde for the card.
Hartman is losing at cards to Daniel. Mercedes enters the club and tells him he is a coward. He stole a space suit, but hasn't the guts to wear it. He moves to hit her, but thinks better of it. Daniel worries about getting his winnings.
Timmy goes to the bridge to ask were they are. Eliot tells him that they are over Callisto, but Timmy is not convinced. As anther violent reaction affects the storm, Timmy tells Eliot that he wants to go outside and fix the rocket computer.
Everyone is having a good time at the ball. Finbow arrives and runs into Herlinde. Daniel tells Melody and Sara that Hartman is refusing to fix the rockets, and is on a six month sentence for theft.
Finbow tells Herlinde that he is happy that she will "love him always". Herlinde tells him that she does not understand. Increasingly frustrated, she yells at him that she knows nothing about the card, and she doesn't want to go out with him. As everyone watches, Finbow leaves, very upset. Hartman asks Mercedes for a dance, but she tells him to pod off.
In Comcen, Finbow tells Eliot that he has made a fool of himself, and that he has never been any good with women. He had been engaged once, but after his first week's posting at Moon Station, she wrote to him, breaking it off. Eliot decides to force Hartman to go outside. Finbow tells him that he will go himself.
Sara cousels an upset Herlinde, who thinks she has broken Finbow's heart. Melody enters, and Sara accuses her of sending the card. Melody wonders why they can't take a joke.
In Medicom, Piers tells a determined Finbow that his bones will crumble with another dose of Iodine 5 solution. Finbow tells him to get on with it.
Eliot tells Hartman that Finbow will die from a radiation exposure that he could tolerate, but Hartman is still bitter about being left in the transit hold. Finbow arrives and tells them that he wants to get this over with as soon as possible.
Piers tells a suited-up Finbow that he is out of his mind. As Hartman tells him which circuits to look for, Sara and Herlinde arrive. A tearful Herlinde tells Finbow she is sorry.
Eliot orders Petra to ready the airlock, whilst on the screen Mercedes is helping a space suited figure. Piers and Hartman arrive and are puzzled to see the figure enter the airlock, they have just put Finbow in the lift...
Back in Comcen, Finbow guides the space suited James, as he tries to find the circuit housing. He has sixteen minutes and fortyfive seconds to repair the circuits. Eliot tells Mercedes to keep an eye on the time - he should have sent Hartman.
