Fiona and Anna return from Space City, Anna talking incessantly about her friend Hanka. Victoria meets them off the lift, and Fiona tells her that Timmy is being kept in for more tests. Before she can stop herself, Victoria wonders what they will do about the quiz. Anna volunteers herself as a replacement and leaves. Fiona is not pleased and they discuss other possible replacements. Victoria asks Piers, but he tells her that he can't do it as he is staff. He suggests she ask Mercedes.
Back in her cabin, Anna discovers that she has picked up Fiona's bag by mistake. Discovering Fiona's make-up, Anna decides to try some on.
Sara asks Fiona if she actually saw Hanka. She thinks she might be imaginary as nobody has ever seen her. Fiona discovers she has Anna's bag. Meanwhile Anna drops some of Fiona's make-up in the basin. Panicking, she attempts to clean up the mess.
In a study lab, a desperate Brelan is accessing Petra in search of SAM.
Harriet tells James that they cannot have Brelan roaming through Petra's files. They wonder what he is up to. Cats tells them to ask him.
Fiona returns Anna's bag and searches through her own. She demands to know where her make-up is, as she can't get anymore until they can get into the Valencia's cargo hold. She notices that Anna is wearing make-up. Anna tells her that there might have been an accident and asks Fiona not to hit her!
Sara briefs Mercedes on the rules of the quiz, but Mercedes hopes they don't expect her to do anything but turn up. Fiona storms in upset, and tells Sara that Anna has smashed all her make-up. She says that she can't let people see her without make-up on. Mercedes tells her that she doesn't need it, but Fiona tells her that she doesn't understand, and storms out again.
In the study lab, Anna interrupts the Professor as she is having problems. He tells her he is busy. He calls up the video of SAM and asks Petra about the others. Petra says they are "all lost".
Harriet tells Fiona that it is not the end of the world, and she should pull herself together, but Fiona is not sure she can take part in the quiz without the use of her make-up and curlies for her hair. She is hypoallergenic and can't use anybody else's.
Brelan is still trying to call up the audio. He tells James that the crew had all died, and they hushed it up.
Brelan has asked Mercedes to join him and James in Space City, to check some navigational data on Jupiter System. James asks him about SAM, and the Professor tells him that he just wants to know what happened.
Sara tries to convince Fiona to leave her cabin and, having to rely on emotional blackmail, tells her that the quiz is the only thing keeping Victoria from thinking about her father. Fiona finally agrees if Sara will do her hair.
Victoria is looking for Mercedes in the lobby. She meets Piers and asks him to go out with her on her poker winnings. Cats joins them, and tells Victoria that Mercedes has gone down to Space City.
James doesn't understand why they wanted to keep SAM a secret, but Brelan is still being secretive himself. Victoria contacts Mercedes. who tells her she forgot about the quiz. Brelan tells Mercedes to keep on forgetting.
Harriet tells Sara and Victoria that she knows someone who will join the team, and tells them to get the Dome ready.
As they prepare for the quiz in the Dome. Fiona complains to Sara that she looks like a mad sheep. Daniel, who has been pressganged into taking part by Harriet, surreptitiously inserts an earpiece before taking his place. Harriet activates the satellite link and takes the teams autosecs, and they introduce themselves to the Intergalactic Quiz host, Enzo Paglicci.
James tells Mercedes that she should have gone for the quiz, but Brelan tells them that the radar scans of Amalthea that they are studying are more important. James wants to know why.
Columbus College are lagging behind, but recover when Daniel starts to do very well. He has arranged a secret comms link with Petra, who is feeding him the answers.
James tells Brelan that he makes it impossible for people to work with him by being so secretive. The Professor tells him that Petra hides her secrets, and reveals that he does now want Petra for Daedalus. An angry James tells him he cannot trust him. Brelan tells him to trust him or get off the team. He shows him the door.
Columbus College have won the quiz and are through to the next round. Victoria tells Daniel that it was all down to him. Sara sees Daniel remove his earpiece.
