HUNTER Woodview has smoke flares, so when you contact them advise flares be started as soon as possible. What is our location at this time. PILOT ONE (V.O.) MILITARY EXECUTIVE HELICOPTER CLOSE ON PILOTS INSTRUMENT PANEL The helicopter is encountering up and down drafts which are indicating eight hundred to a thousand feet vertical lift and drop on the pilots instruments. CLOSE ON PILOT ONE PILOT ONE Dr. Hunter, we have a problem and unless we have a miracle we'll have to land at LAX. CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER (upset) Just a minute. Glancing at Adon who is looking out the window. Hunter removes his headgear and whispers to Adon. HUNTER (Cont.) Adon, if you are truly the son of god stop the winds so we can get to our destination. (Hunter replaces his headgear) CLOSE ON ADON He looks at Dr., Hunter and the Air Policeman and raises his hand and waves it in the direction the helicopter is heading. CLOSE ON PILOT ONE PILOT ONE (V.O.) Dr. Hunter, I don't know what the hell happened sir but the winds and gusts have gone to zero! Were on course and expect ETA in about five minutes! HUNTER Excellent! CUT TO: EXT. WOODVIEW PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL - CALABASAS CALIFORNIA CAMERAS POINT OF VIEW. The floodlights are on the pad where a helicopter is seen approaching with blades turning and clearance lights and strobe flashing. Dr. WAYNE FLEEK is waiting on the pad with two orderlies and have started the red flares. The lack of wind has the smoke almost going straight up. One of the orderlies has a flashlight and is waving it in a fashion to indicate all is clear and ready for touchdown. INT. MILITARY - EXECUTIVE HELICOPTER PILOT ONE Woodview Control this is Huey six-fiver-two-Bravo at your Helio-Port ready for touchdown. Please advise if this touchdown is not authorized. Pilot one is seen decreasing the throttle and pushing down the collective stick and the helicopter starts to descend on the pad and gyrates slowly. WOODVIEW CONTROL (V.O.) Military Huey six-fiver-two bravo you are cleared for immediate landing. PILOT ONE That is a roger, Woodview. over and out. The helicopter is seen gently settling down on the heli-pad and the engine starts to slow down. Pilot one is seen decreasing the throttle and shutting down the engine into idle. The doors open and Dr. Hunter gets out then Adon and they duck under the blades and run into the open door of the hospital. The engines in the helicopter rev up again and the craft lifts off and disappears into the night. CUT TO: EXT. WOODVIEW PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL - CALABASAS INT. WOODVIEW EMERGENCY ENTRANCE - SUPERVISED CARE Dr. Hunter and Adon are seen walking through the EMERGENCY nurses station and past several orderlies looking to see who the new patient is. Half-way down the hall they stop at a door with the nameplate of Dr. Evan Hunter Chief of Staff. CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER Ok, Adon lets go in my office. ADON I'm really tired, may I lay down? HUNTER Sure, why don't you lay down on my couch until your room is ready. ADON How long do I have to stay here? HUNTER Look Adon, we have to wait till things calm down at Edwards, then I'll cut you loose. ADON Do you believe me when I say I'm the son of god? HUNTER Sure, why would you lie to me? But in all honesty I don't think anyone else believes you. ADON (upset) Why, it's the truth! CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER Adon, we've had people say they're Napoleon Bonaparte, Caesar, Lincoln and on and on! ADON Why do they lie? HUNTER They want the attention, or the notoriety or free publicity and so on! ADON (sitting on the couch) I just want to serve my father? CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER Look Adon, the Jews have been waiting thousands of years for their Messiah, and they won't settle for another Christian Messiah. CLOSE ON ADON ADON I'm what they call Jewish. Los Angeles is the murder capital of the United States, people are gunned down in the street by people they don't even know. Even when people are guilty they don't go to jail. ADON What your saying is that I'm wasting my time. I should just go ahead and let people keep killing each other and in five years when the world ends, They can all go straight to hell. HUNTER I'm not saying that, we have a lot of bad people, but we also have a lot of good people. The problem is the bad people are killing the good people, so we have hell on earth, right now, they don't have to wait. ADON (Somber) If I could just save one soul .... it would be worth it. HUNTER Adon, I'll be honest with you, the chances are very slim, on even on person over eight-teen who is without sin. ADON What is wrong with my people? HUNTER I don't know. I have my own theory. Dr. Hunter and Adon are continuing to converse when Dr. Fleek, Hunters assistant comes in and shuts the door. CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER Wayne, I wont you to meet Adon Bashier. (they shake hands) This is my assistant Dr. Fleek. ADON Your parents are from Norway? FLEEK Why, yes they are, how did you know that? ADON Your wife died last year. She is now with her parents. Dr. Fleek is in shock so he sits Down and glares at Dr. Hunter. FLEEK What's going on Evan? ADON Your father died five years ago and is now with your mother. HUNTER Wayne, Adon is the son of god. ADON (looking at Dr. Fleek) Why do you look at me like that its the truth! CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER Wayne, we have to talk later. ADON I don't understand why people react so badly to all my truths! HUNTER No one on earth can do what you do so freely. Dr. Fleek is still in shock when the two orderlies come in to get Adon. ORDERLY ONE Dr. Hunter his room is ready. ADON I'm really tired. HUNTER Don, go ahead and take Mr. Bashier to his room. Give him whatever he wants and no restraints of any kind. ADON (looking at Dr. Hunter) We will talk more later. CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER I'm looking forward to it. ADON Good-bye ....Skip. I'm ready. FLEEK Did he say Skip? There's only one person in the whole world that ever called me Skip and that was my father, and he's gone! CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER Wayne, let it go, we'll talk later. ADON (making a motion with with his right hand like a pistol) Gotcha Skip! FLEEK Did you see that, my father used to do that to me all the time! HUNTER Wayne, calm down! CUT TO: INT. WOODVIEW HOSPITAL - GARDEN Dr. Hunter is observing Adon as he has captivated some of the patients and is telling them about there relatives that have gone to the other side. CLOSE ON ADON ADON The fear you people have of dying is truly remarkable. If you had any idea how nice it is after death you would not fear death as you do. PATIENT ONE Adon, are you really the son of god? ADON Yes I am. PATIENT TWO (in wheelchair) If you are the son of god, please make me walk again. Adon walks over to the patient and puts his open hand on the mans forehead. ADON (quietly) Do you believe in me and in god? PATIENT TWO Yes I do my lord! ADON (motioning with his hands) Rise, and walk again you are cured. Adon walks over to the patient and helps him out of the chair and they both go for a walk in the garden. CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER Oh my god. He did it! The cloudy sky parts and the sound of thunder travels through the valley like a sign of victory. All the patients in the audience are in awe after seeing the miracle with their own two eyes. CUT TO: EXT. WOODVIEW PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL - MORNING INT. WOODVIEW CHIEF OF STAFF - OFFICE Dr. Hunter and Adon are seen conversing. Adon is on the couch and Dr. Hunter is in his large leather chair. CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER Ok, Adon lets get started. ADON May I keep my eyes closed while were conversing? HUNTER Sure, why not. Now get real comfortable and try to answer all my questions to the best of your ability. Adon, do you trust me? ADON Yes I do. HUNTER When were you born and how old are you? ADON I have no date of birth so consequently I have no age. HUNTER Do you have a mother? ADON (upset) Why, of course I have a mother. CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER Where is she? ADON She is in a place you call heaven. HUNTER The other day I asked you what its like in heaven, you started to tell me but we were interrupted. ADON (laying on the couch) If you can imagine a day where you felt totally at peace with yourself and everyone else and your mind felt good, your body felt good and no matter what you were doing you wanted to jump up and scream oh my lord I feel great! CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER This is what it's like being in heaven? CLOSE ON ADON ADON Yes, and more. You feel like every drop of blood in your body is warm and comforting, you can see for miles what ever you touch feels marvelous, whom ever you meet is on the same level of ecstasy as you are. The whole experience is without words. HUNTER Do people have relationships like here on earth? ADON (trying to understand) I know, do people have sex in heaven? (Hunter laughs) Why are you laughing? HUNTER Look Adon, this civilization is overwhelmed with the idea of sex. Without sex, man would have died off long before the dinosaurs! ADON Man has sex for pleasure, and it's only secondary if you have children. HUNTER Unfortunately you are right. ADON (Somber) When you are pure spirit the feeling you sense is total ecstasy all the time. HUNTER Adon, Is there really a place we call hell? ADON Hell as perceived by man is not the real hell. The real hell is a place where everyone else is but lacking the constant happiness that all the other people have. HUNTER Are people in hell tortured? ADON Your saying do they ever find peace with themselves? The answer is no. HUNTER That seems to be cruel in itself for a spirit never to find peace because of a mistake made when in body. ADON (looking at Dr. Fleek) The man was Chinese and lived in a northern province. He died of malaria at age eighteen but later he was born in the flesh of your father. CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER A rainy day would be nice. Adon gets off the couch and walks over to the window overlooking the valley. He slowly waves his hand. A crash of thunder is heard and it starts to rain. A huge lighting bolt is seen in the distance. CLOSE ON ADON ADON Convinced? HUNTER No doubt in my mind. Adon can you tell me when I'm going to.. to .......die? ADON (curious) Why do you want to know? (Hunter laughs) Why are you laughing? CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER Look Adon, the way this civilization is going, I could be the next casualty in the gang wars. CLOSE ON ADON ADON What you want to know is when your life will terminate. We have two dates. A planned date and what we call a LUCIFER date. HUNTER (clearing his throat) A Lucifer date? ADON (Somber) If someone has committed a mortal sin, then the books are transferred to him. CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER Him? ADON Lucifer, the fallen Angel. HUNTER What is my planned date? HUNTER (clearing his throat) Heart attack? ADON (Somber) Yes, do you feel better now? CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER I guess. If god is so powerful why doesn't he just eliminate Lucifer, the fallen Angel. ADON (serious) I guess you don't understand, Lucifer has the same power that god has. God can't destroy Lucifer. CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER If that's the case, how do I know you're not Lucifer? MUROC DRY LAKE - HELIO-PORT CAMERAS POINT OF VIEW. The floodlights are on the pad where a large executive helicopter is seen with blades turning and clearance lights and strobe flashing. A slight breeze has descended on the lake bed and a Hum "V" has driven up to the site. Air Police are everywhere. CLOSE ON HUM "V". Major Ball is seen getting out of the Hum "V" and runs over to the helicopter. The pilot has some last minute words with Major Ball and waves are issued and Major Ball runs over to the side of the helicopter. The passenger is helped into the Hum "V" by the Air policemen and Ball jumps in the rear seat with him. An Air Policemen gets in on the other side and the Hum "V" drives off into the night. INT. EDWARD'S MILITARY HOSPITAL - PRIVATE ROOM General WINSTON is seen laying in a hospital bed where he is recovering from a heart attack. The relief nurse walks into the room with Colonel Bond and a visitor. CLOSE ON NURSE RELIEF NURSE General, you have a couple of visitors are you up to it? The relief nurse motions for the Colonel and the visitor to come closer to the bed. The general opens his eyes. MAJOR BOND General, this is Lonny, I have a visitor for you. VISITOR General I'm COLONEL URI HALEVI from the Israeli Intelligence also known as the MOSSAD. CLOSE ON GENERAL GENERAL (WHISPERING) What can I do for you Colonel? Half-way down the hall they stop at a door with the nameplate of Dr. Evan Hunter Chief of Staff. CLOSE ON HUNTER HUNTER Ok, Father O'Malley lets go in my office. INT. WOODVIEW OFFICE OF CHIEF OF STAFF O'MALLEY I was really lucky to get a ride on the Cardinals chopper, he usually goes out to Westlake today for lunch. He must have his ANGEL HAIR SPAGHETTI at OTAVIOS with the Cardinelli sauce. He has a very good life. HUNTER Sure, why don't you sit down father and I'll bring you up to speed on Adon Bashier. O'MALLEY (sitting in large chair) Dr. Hunter I brought my tape recorder along, it's easier to relate all this to the cardinal if I have a tape to check vital details. CUT TO: INT. WOODVIEW OFFICE OF CHIEF OF STAFF Adon walks into the room and sits down next to father O'Malley. HUNTER Adon, it's good to see you, this is ..... (Adon waves his hand) Oh yes, a lightening bolt too right Dr. Hunter. A rumble is heard in the distance then a large cloud rolls in and a snow storm begins. A large crash of thunder is heard and a lightening bolt hits the oak tree in the garden and sets it on fire. O'MALLEY Dr. Hunter you either have the son of god here, or the devil. HUNTER I have already been there father. ADON Father O'Malley do you still wear the small cross your mother gave you when you were fifteen? O'MALLEY How did you know about the cross? HUNTER Relax, answer him. ADON Father O'Malley would you like to talk to your mother or your father? Father O'Malley takes his Rosary out of his portfolio case and places it around his neck. He briefly looks at it and kisses the crucifix. O'MALLEY Yes, I would like to talk to my mother. HUNTER Father are you sure you want to do this? O'MALLEY Dr. Hunter I can handle it. HUNTER Father ............. The room suddenly gets cold and a mist forms in the corner of the room and a face starts to appear. It's in the form of an old woman. ADON Father Timothy O'Malley, here is your mother KELLY ANN O'MALLEY. MOTHER Ian, is that you son? O'MALLEY No mother it's TIMOTHY. How are you? HUNTER Hang in there Father. ADON Father O'Malley for a spirit to materialize it takes a great deal of energy, so we'll have to make it short. O'MALLEY (clearing his throat) Ok. Mother how is it there, in Heaven. ADON Father O'Malley her energy is giving out so I will have to terminate this visitation. HUNTER Father, relax. ADON (waving his hand) Father Timothy O'Malley please say good-bye. O'MALLEY (crying) Oh Mom, I love you .......I love you so much! (sobbing uncontrollably) A rumble is heard in the distance then a large cloud rolls in and it starts to rain. A large crash of thunder is heard and a lightening bolt strikes the lawn in the garden. O'MALLEY Thank you Adon, thank you. I have to go in your bathroom for a few minutes. HUNTER Out the door then hang a left. first door on the right. ADON Father O'Malley are you ok? O'MALLEY Yes, I'm having trouble with my stomach. (cupping his hand over his mouth) Father O'Malley is seen opening the door and running out into the hallway. HUNTER Well Adon, you sure won him over in a hurry. ADON Father O'Malley wanted to see his mother because he was here in the UNITED STATES when she died. The phone rings and Dr. Hunter picks it up. HUNTER Dr. Hunter? COLONEL BOND (V.O.) Hi Dr. Hunter, this is Colonel Bond at Edwards, how are you? HUNTER Oh just fine, what can I do for you? (A beat). I see, I understand. Sure no problem. Five tomorrow morning, sure we'll have him ready. Ok. Good-bye. (A beat). Adon, I'm afraid I have some bad news for you. ADON Colonel Bond is picking me up in the morning and I'm going back to Edwards so they can turn me over to Halevi. Father O'Malley is seen opening the door and walking into the room. HUNTER How do you feel father? O'MALLEY Dr. Hunter I feel much better. HUNTER I just received a call from the military and Adon has to go back to the Air Force base. They're picking him up in the morning. ADON Uri Halevi, one of Satan's Saints has convinced the military I'm a threat to National Security so they're turning me over to him. O'MALLEY Dr. Hunter you can't let them do this to Adon, he's the son of god! HUNTER Father, I have no control over what they do. Adon, are you upset? ADON Of course I am. The Ceiling tiles start to fall from the ceiling. The desk slides over to the other end of the room. Windows start breaking and shattering and a piece of the roof crumbles down into the room. Dust is everywhere and the men are coughing. O'MALLEY (yelling) Dr. Hunter if this doesn't convince you I don't know what will. HUNTER Oh I was convinced a long time ago I just didn't know whether he was a devil or angel. ADON Father O'Malley don't worry about me, I'll be fine just remember me in your prayers to the lord. O'MALLEY Lord, will you do one more thing for me? ADON Father O'Malley anything. O'MALLEY Lord, may I talk to my father.
