Each year the BotCon exclusives get more and more professional, the 1997 toys were VERY well done and could easily have been sold on store shelves! I like all the exclusives, but the 97 set is THE best.
Magnaboss

Magnaboss re-uses three very popular names, but they are VERY appropriate for the forms of the three beast who comprise Magnaboss. Magnaboss is an incredible looking form with a good color scheme and good articulation.

Dinobot is one of the better Deluxe toys, two weapons (love the spinner!) and EXTREMELY poseable (even one legged poses!)
Retrax has a very cute gimmick, it rolls up into a ball, makes up for the deficient robot mode.
Overall the Deluxe toys have great looking beast modes and poseable robot modes.

The early 'Regular' toys had 'autotransform' tricks where pulling the tail would transform them, this was removed with the later toys, and in my opinion improves on the design, 8^).
The 'Regular' toys are also very poseable for their size, and have good beast modes as well.

The Microverse sets were beasts which opened into miniature playsets. Each set included two figures and various gimmicks (such as prison cells, launchers etc.,). Both sets are unique additions to any Beast Wars collection.

The 'Lion' toy was the special under age three toy, it unfolds to display a Optimus Prime style robot inside the lion.
I have a total of five sets (Rhino, Panther, Beetle,
Manta Ray) of these toys, three sets are mint (in bags), one set is good,
and one set is bad (and currently missing the rhino).

These forms have nice metallic color schemes,
and the Megatron toy is one of the best overall BW figures,
it even has a nicely articulated tail.

The deluxe figures are all nice metallic repaints
of some of the better BW toys. Waspinator has a nice
jet mode. They all seem to have nice color
schemes, good to see Rattrap get a promo in size!

These toys are actually rather nice, although
odd combinations, they manage to make nice forms.
Silverbolt has a very nice color scheme as well
as nice detailing.
