The first Transformers I started collecting were the members of the gestalt teams, ie all of the teams on the show which could merge into a larger robot. Gestalts fascinated me, I still have a weak spot for them and will collect them no matter what toy line they're in (ie SuperSam, Voltron etc.,)

Notes:
HotSpot is easily one of the best Transformers around, he comes with rubber wheels, metal chestplate, working ladder an a unique color scheme. The toy also had two bonus modes (repair bay and emergency transport) which were never shown on the cartoon!

Notes:
Scattershot is another excellent toy, his colors are great, he has a nice push button gun gimmick (and makes lovely clicking noises when you transform him, 8^) ). Also he has a third weapons mode, which was also shown on the cartoon.
