SAMMY TERRYThe host from the Indianapolis, IN. area, Sammy has been off and on WTTV Channel 4 (actually a Bloomington/Indianapolis station, but the studios were in Indy) since the early 1960's (also doing a stint on Marion, IN.'s Channel 11 for a brief period). Sammy was part of the "golden age" of local telecasting in 50's and '60's Indianapolis, when WTTV had a full lineup of children's programming, and all of the local stations had a cartoon host of one kind or another. Portrayed by music store owner (and Presbyterian Church elder) Bob Carter, Sammy still makes public appearances and TV specials, and hosts a regular Halloween radio broadcast of "Creepy Classical" music.
